Based on a folk tale about the dybbuk, Ansky wrote the play The Dybbuk, or Between Two Worlds, which became the inspiration for two Polish f lms: The Dybbuk and Austeria. It is also probably the only piece of work created by a representative of the Jewish community from Eastern Europe which received such high acclaim throughout the world.

The aim of this paper is to provide the proposal for a feasible and effective model that the Constitutional Court of BH could utilize to remedy the problem of the constitutional-based discrimination of minorities within the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The issue at stake came into focus of legal and political science scholars after the ECtHR delivered its famous decision in case Sejdic-Finci in December 2009. The proposed approach of the Constitutional Court of BH is to increase its judicial activism, since it is the only stakeholder equipped with the necessary tools for resolving the problem that brought the political elites into a deadlock.

Over the last 15 years the political leadership of Turkey conducts a course of modernization of the country. Basically, this course reinforces the previous model of modernization and development of the Ottoman Empire and therefore it is called Neo-Ottomanism. The author reveals the peculiarities of the process of implementation of this model in modern Turkey and points to trends such as the strengthening of centralism and authoritarianism within the system of state power, secularisation of social life and expansionism in foreign policy. Paying special attention to the final thesis, the author tries to show the predominantly extroverted character of the Turkish model of modernization based on mobilization of the resource base of countries and regions that were once part of the Ottoman Empire. To this end, Turkey takes an aggressive foreign policy that includes direct support for international terrorism. Thus, the author seeks to actualize the potential risks and dangers that the policy of uncontrolled growth of pro-Turkish influence might bring to the countries of the Balkans, the Caucasus, the Middle East and Central Asian regions.

The paper tries to answer the question, whether local, non-state actors can perform formal or informal actions to co-opt proposed institutional structure? If they can, in what way they can and in which phase of the peace-building process is it possible? Using practices, i.e. inter-paradigmatic research program within the history of international relations and Richmond’s theoretical framework, we try to show and to point out to the academic community the existence of the advocating independence practices, and therefore statehood, of non-state actors (ethnic groups) by other non-state actors. Kosovo in the period from 1999 to 2008 is the case study; to be precise, advocacy of the independence of the Albanian community and their Provisional Institutions of Self-Government, in relation to Belgrade, with the help from individual actions of prominent figures – Søren Jessen-Petersen, Kai Eide, Martti Ahtisaari and Carne Ross. We argue that research projects of practices that advocate independence, as a way of co-opting imposed institutional structures within the theoretical framework of local-liberal hybridity, were not represented enough within academia as well as within the proposed framework of inter-paradigmatic research program, with emphasis on the action of local non-state actors.

Social Support to Families of Children With Disabilities

The importance of organized networks of support for children with disabilities and their families as well as the implementation of a new concept in three environments (educational, social and health) is the subject of this study. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship formal recommended additional support interdepartmental commission and the effects of their use. The results of research conducted with members of the interdepartmental commission and families of children with disabilities, have shown that families usually rely on informal forms of support from their immediate family. On the other hand, despite the existence of thought interdepartmental commission on the individual level of support, there are a number of systemic barriers in the implementation, monitoring, and monitoring the effects of the recommended additional support for the child with disabilities, which is poor, underdeveloped and remains on a declarative level.

Multidimensional inferiority of women belonging to one of the “sensitive groups” is inflicted by men, as a consequence of intertwining gender based discrimination with other marginal personal traits, often affecting women with disability. The presence of multidimensional inferiority of women with disability is clearly seen in the fact that in every field of social life, the participation of these women is smaller compared to women of general population and/or men with disability. Furthermore, women who belong to this social group are more frequently exposed to some form of violent behavior, such as economic violence or exclusion from women without a disability. This work represents a detailed description of the status of women with disability, with the aim of proving the existence of multidimensional inferiority phenomenon which is a consequence of intertwining social gender roles’ constructions with prejudice towards people with disability. It also suggests ways of suppressing this phenomenon.
