ARNAVUT KÜLTÜR VE EDEBİYATINDA MEVLİD YAZMA GELENEĞİ

Similar to other Muslim communities, mawlid occurs as the expression of love for our Prophet in the Albanian community. Recently, it has gained a wider place in cultural life as the written work or celebration ceremony.Mawlid is used to revive the religious life and in individual plans as signification tool for changes in all stages of life. In the beginning, it was performed in Turkish. In the passage of time, it started to be performed in Albanian which contributed to the accumulation of mawlids among the Albanians. Besides its educational character, mawlid is also a source of hope to gain intercession from Hz. Muhammed (s.a.v.), keep his name alive and commemorating him. This is one of the main motives behind survival and popularity of mawlid among the Albanian Muslims.In the light of texts of mawlids and latest research related with it, this study aims to focus on the development of mawlid as a part of the Albanian culture.

Adalet Ağaoğlu’nun Bir Göç Romanı: Fikrimin İnce Gülü

Migration, a powerful force in societies, is among the topics of literature which is also a part of human life. One of the literary works mentioning migration is Fikrimin İnce Gülü, Adalet Ağaoğlu‟s second book. It is possible that the migration can be examined based person as "who go abroad", "turning back" and "survivor" in the text. In the light of text-based inspection method, historical and sociological approaches peopleoriented disclosed social, political, psychological and economic conflict is based on only the work, generalization is not done. The transforming family structure, continuity issue of relations with the dormitory, the hardships of the working conditions, discrepancies originated from culture, language, religion, alienation which leads to isolation and the problems in return are discourse in the process that based on people's expectations and disappointments. The characters that trapped between two different cultures, refuge on consumer goods, exhibit behaviours that lead to cultural degeneration to adapt to economic and social order of meta culture. The conflict and migration culture model will prevail in order to examine migration movements in Fikrimin İnce Gülü. In the context of this model, the conflicts of characters in the process of migration to Germany will reveal taking into consideration the difficulties and disagreements to be effective.

Fakir Baykurt’un Almanya öykülerinde Türk göçmen çocukları

The migration of workers to Germany has been taken up with its causes, consequences and social dimensions; the migration and the problems encountered in subsequent phases have been stated by experts in the subject. Fakir Baykurt’s stories from Germany, regarding the reality they represent, are among the literary forms that coincide with the facts supplied by social sciences. These stories take their sources from true life experiences as the products of observations and experiences with migrant workers and their families in Germany where the writer has passed twenty years of his life and worked for the education of the worker’s children; therefore information related to Fakir Baykurt’s life and his years in Germany are provided in the first part of the study. The life of children reflected in the stories constitutes the main theme of the study. Under the subtitles of “Family and Home Life”, “Education Life and related issues”, “Social environment, friendships and Turkish-German disparity” and “Amidst two cultures”, the lives in Germany of children who have been raised in working class families and who have immigrated from Turkey are evaluated under the light of facts provided by the stories and examples are given. These stories appear to confirm that literature is an art that reflects the social reality and is open to sociological assessments

ÂŞIK ŞENLİK’İN ŞİİRLERİNDE GÜZEL TİPİ

Minstrel Şenlik had lived in the second half of the 19th century, social and political aspects of Kars and the surrounding area has experienced one of the most chaotic periods. This situation is reflected in many of his poetry. Even it is said that such of his poems has provided him being counted to be famous and loved among the people, However, such as every minstrel, he had loved and wrote many poems on the ones who had loved. According to the saying "Those we love are always beautiful", his loved ones are also pretties of his heart . In Turkish poetry, the subject matter is the most beloved. The main feature of the beloved one is considered beautiful by people who love her. Beauty perception, varies from person to person and period to period. Some certain features of beauties which we have seen in minstrel poems stand out in his poems too. In the poems there has been beautiful types accepted by everyone, but there are beauties who are favourite of the minstrels of their own. In this context, Şenlik has his own peception of beauty and his point of view against the beautiful ones. Şenlik’s beautiful type is Hürü.In the poems of Şenlik we can find Hürü's features as beautiful type. In this study, it had been examined of Şenlik’s “beautiful type” and characteristics of her in the source of his descriptions of “beatiful” in his poems.

ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ BEKTAŞİ FIKRALARINDA VURGULANAN DEĞERLERİ FARK ETME DÜZEYLERİ

Bektashi anecdotes that the products of Bektashi tradition can be used as teaching materials in the education of values. In this study, it was examined whether teacher candidates can detect the values emphasized in the Bektashi anecdotes. In this way, it was aimed to evaluate the competence of teacher candidates. The study was conducted with 160 students studying in Turkish language teaching and guidance and psychological counseling departments of Karadeniz Technical University. Descriptive and casual comparative methods were used and the data were with the form developed by researches. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics techniques and independent t test. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the teacher candidates were inadequate to detect the values emphasized in Bektashi anecdotes. It was evaluated that it would be beneficial to include activities on values education in teacher education programs.

„СТРАННОСТ НА УМА“ НА ОРХАН ПАМУК – КАК Е НАПРАВЕН РОМАНЪТ (ТЕЗИСИ)

The article explores the diversity of narrative techniques in Orhan Pamuk’s novel A Strangeness in My Mind. The main idea is that the drama of a private life is told against the background of the drama of the life of Istanbul. To do this, the novel parallels the biographical ‘I’ of the main character and the historical ‘He’ of the City. This comparison provokes the idea of the novel’s close relation to the history of Istanbul and Turkey over the last fifty years. Orhan Pamuk does not spare the reader any of the specific, purely "Turkish problems" with the Kurds and Greeks, as well as the radical and conservative moods and public discontent from the 1950s to the 1980s. The narrative line is developed slowly and minutely, owing to the author's intention to authenticate real events through the perspective of fictional characters and vice versa – to romanticize cultural and purely civilizational processes in the last half century of the development of this part of the border between Europe and Asia. This is the only way to explain the presence of the problem of women's emancipation and the lack of that misunderstood "patriotism" which often prevents the depiction of purely national processes in life. This refutes the widespread opinion that A Strangeness in My Mind is a postmodern novel.

BİTLİSLİ HALK ŞAİRİ DEMİRCİ NAİM VE ŞİİRLERİ ÜZERİNE DEĞERLENDİRMELER

Bitlis, which hosted various civilizations in different periods of history, has been a place where written culture prevailed at a certain level. The city has maintained its importance for centuries and hosted different civilizations. From this perspective, many poets, historians, politician and literary figures were raised in Bitlis. Mahmut Naim Şerefhanoğlu, a member of the Şerefhanoğulları family, one of the important families of the city, was born in Bitlis in 1913. The folk poet, known under the pseudonym Demirci Naim, is among the city's important poets of the 20th century. Some of the poems of the poet, who died in his hometown Bitlis on April 15, 1971, were published by his son Servet Şerefhanoğlu under the title "Sparks from the Poet Demirci Naim". In this study, the poet's life and literary personality are analyzed in terms of both form and content with examples from his poems. The poet wrote poems in both aruz and syllabic meter. However, in our study, only the poems he wrote in syllabic meter were taken into consideration and various evaluations were made. When the characteristics of Demirci Naim were examined in terms of minstrelsy traditions, it was concluded that he should be accepted as a folk poet.

Disputes in Turkish literature, in which pleasurable substances such as opium, berş cannabis, boza, wine, arak and coffee, in a dispute-based struggle for supremacy, with the claim of being the most popular pleasure or being the sultan of mukeyyifat, are the debates in Turkish literature has an important place in it. In this study, the work named Muhâkeme-i Mükeyyifât, which is among the 84b-102a leaves of a 109-leaf journal, which is registered under the name of "poetry journal" in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Taksim Atatürk Library, number 1172, is discussed. Written on 7 Şaban 1260/22 August 1844 by a person from the zurefa with the desire to leave a relic containing advices and warnings to future generations, this work is a collection of seven pleasurable substances (opium, berş, cannabis, boza, wine, arak, coffee) in the province of Tahayyulat. It is a debate on meritocracy, describing the fierce struggle and arguments they entered in a pavilion in the field of Isret-âbâd. The coffee, which comes out of this terrible test in which pleasure substances enter, with a white face, sends all the mukeyyifat into exile as the sultan-ı mukeyyifat.

Din Maneviyat Tartışmaları Açısından Hilmi Ziya Ülken’in ‘Anadolu Tarihinde Dini Ruhiyat Müşahedeleri’ İsimli Makalesinin Değerlendirilmesi

One of the pioneering works in the history of religious psychology in Turkey is the article titled "Observations of Religious Psychology in Anatolian History." This article was published on June 1, 1924 (Hijri-1340) in the 13th-14th issue of the Mihrap Magazine and was written by Hilmi Ziya ULKEN. The presentations in this work were created, taking into account current topics in the psychology of religion, based on both the Ottoman Turkish original and the contemporary translation of the article. With this study, a contemporary interpretation of this century-old Ottoman Turkish article was made to understand its intended message, and its relevance to the present day was addressed. In this article, Ulken examines the lives and some mystical experiences of two historical mystical figures by presenting historical sources. It becomes apparent from Ulken's article that the importance of mystical experiences in Anatolian culture has continued throughout its historical process. The Anatolian people have placed value on metaphysical and Sufi/mystical elements. Ulken attempts to demonstrate that the mystical experiences in Anatolia are rooted more in Shaman culture than Buddhist culture and that this tradition continued during the Ottoman era. What Ulken described a century ago in this article reminds us that the quest for meaning and spirituality in contemporary psychology of religion is universal. On the other hand, in the West, some individuals searching for spirituality have stated that they do not belong to any particular religious tradition, leading to debates about changing the name of psychology of religion to "spiritual psychology." However, Ulken's attempt to show that the quest for spirituality in Anatolia, although occasionally reflecting Shaman culture, is not independent of religious traditions, demonstrates that spirituality in Anatolia is not divorced from religion, in contrast to the West. In conclusion, when examining debates in Western psychology of religion, it is important to focus on the universality of the field and make better use of past works and historical figures in Anatolian culture, rather than simply imitating Western developments. This article by Ulken is one of the Works that can help in in this regard.

Sûdî’nin Bostan Şerhi’nde Nesir Dili

Sûdî is one of the representatives of 16th century Turkish classical prose literature. In his annotated work of Bostan he preferred quite a simple language, free from internal rhyme and compound words. He made his explanations short, using defining annotation style. As he pursued overall goal of language teaching, there are oft-repeated sentences of information in the work. His mastery over Persian language enabled Sûdî to meticulously work on the derivational and inflectional affixes. As the main part of speech necessary to understand a statement is the verb, there is quite a lot of information embedded in the work regarding the modality features of Persian verbs, whether they are transitive or intransitive, or whether they are affirmative or negative. There is information given as to in what sense phrases are used, which words pronouns refer to in the text, and how a pair of lines that conveys figures of speech should be inferred and understood. He severely criticized the authors who previously worked on Bostan due to their mistakes in their annotated works, their inadequate knowledge of Bostan, their sheer lack of comprehension of the sentences. It is obvious that he made use of Turkish, Persian and Arabic conjunctions, gerunds, participles and adverbials. There does not seem to be any particular use of artistic language in his prose. He produced a kind of prose a lot easier to understand than those used in his age.

Mu'īnü'l-Mürīd’de Yetkinlik Sıfat Fiili

In this study, it is aimed to examine the participles, which are an important component of the Turkish language, through the work "Mu'īnü'l-Mürīd". The work was written in the Khwarazm region and was penned to explain the principles of Islam and Sufi doctrines to the Turkmen people. In this study, the competence participles and their sub-functions found in the work are discussed. These sub-functions include suitability, skill, possibility, habit, and differentiation from others. In this study, it is explained how these sub-functions are addressed with examples from the work. By addressing an important linguistic element of the Turkish language through the work, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the functions and structural features of the language. Ultimately, examining the competence participles and sub-functions in the work "Mu'īnü'l-Mürīd" will help us better understand the structural elements of the Turkish language.

Enderunlu Hasan Yâver'in Şiir Anlayışı

Poetics includes a poet's individual views on poetry or poetry, as well as a scientific field. In Dîvân literature, the poetics of the poet are not expressed in a precise language. The poet usually deals with information about his poetry and understanding of poetry in his poetry. In this study, the 18th century, which has an important place in classical Turkish literature. The poetics of the poet of the century, Hasan Yâver of Enderun, was tried to be explained by processing it based on ten couplets. First of all, the elements related to the understanding of poetry in Dîvân were identified, and the relevant couplets were registered. The plugged couplets are listed under the relevant items and examined and explained respectively under sub-headings. In each title, first of all, information about the article is given, what the substance means in terms of poetics and how it is the subject of poetry is explained. Finally, the couplet about the article is given with the translation into prose.

Modernleşme ve Ahlak: Tevfik Fikret ve Mehmet Akif Ersoy’un Gençlik Üzerine Farklı Yaklaşımları

This study compares Tevfik Fikret’s Haluk’s Notebook (Haluk’un Defteri) with Mehmet Akif Ersoy’s Asım, analyzing the differing approaches of two distinct worldviews to concepts such as youth, morality, and modernization. Tevfik Fikret elevates the Western understanding of science and progress, asserting that modernization can only be achieved by embracing the West. Haluk’s Notebook presents a secular and scientific youth model through the figure of a father who believes his son’s Western education will enlighten society. In contrast, Mehmet Akif Ersoy, in Asım, advocates for an ideal of youth that adopts only the science of the West while remaining faithful to Islamic ethics and national values. Both works reflect the societal transformation processes of their time, offering different perspectives on modernization and moral values. This article examines the intellectual debates and literary approaches of the era through the youth ideals presented by Tevfik Fikret and Mehmet Akif Ersoy.

Ergenekon Türk Destanı mı, Moğol Destanı mı?

The greatest importance of Jāmi' al-Tawārikh for the researches of Turkish history is that it collects the oral and epic narratives of the Turks' past. A variant of the Oghuz Khan Epic is known to us through Jami' al-Tawarikh. Just as a variant of the Oghuz Khan epic has reached us through Jāmi' al Tawārikh, one of the two variants of the Ergenekon epic, if the narrative in Chinese sources is considered parallel and equivalent, is the narrative in Jami' al-Tawarikh. This article analyses the Turkish-Mongolian common tradition and the Ergenekon myth in Jāmi' al-Tawārikh and tries to clarify why the Turkish Ergenekon was narrated through the Mongols by Rashid al Din and his succeeding Iranian chroniclers. The narrative that iron ore was melted down and the people came out of Ergenekon, which we believe plays a key role in this analysis, has been reconsidered along with the tradition of blacksmithing attributed to Genghis Khan. The claim that Genghis Khan's lineage is based on the Turkish blacksmith tarkhans, which has been expressed by many researchers from Klaproth and Howorth to Zeki Velidi Togan, has also been included in the discussion because of its relevance to the subject, and the statements of the sources that form the basis of this claim have been used as auxiliary arguments.

FROM PROTO-NOVEL TO POST-NOVEL: SALMAN RUSHDIE’S QUICHOTTE AS THE REWRITING OF DON QUIXOTE

Salman Rushdie’s 2019 novel Quichotte is the story of a hero reimagined by Rushdie as a 21st century version of Miguel de Cervantes’s Don Quixote. The novel opens in contemporary America where the 70-year-old protagonist Ismail Smile, who goes mad by watching TV, works as a travelling salesman for a pharmaceutical company called Smile Pharmaceuticals. The plot focuses on Ismail’s love for a famous television personality Miss Salma R. who, like Ismail, comes from India. He gets retired, changes his name to Quichotte and goes on a quest to win Salma’s love. The quest turns into a complete replica of Cervantes’s Don Quixote when, on a shooting star, he wishes that he had a son who suddenly appears in the passenger seat of the car he drives. He names him Sancho. Yet, the narration turns out to be a novel in the novel written by a spy novelist referred to only as Brother. Quichotte, therefore, becomes Brother’s imagination that recreates the classical Don Quixote in a contemporary setting. This paper, then, focuses on the concept of post-truth in the meta-narrative of Salman Rushdie who not only rewrites a classical novel but also raises questions as to whether or not truths and narrators are reliable. This study also analyses the saturation of the manipulating power of post-truth era in the lives of Rushdie’s characters.
