This study applies Alf Lüdtke’s and Thomas Lindenberger’s concept of a wide spectrum of the society’s attitude towards ideological directions into school educational environment. Following the research of Matěj Kotalík, Martin Franc and Jiří Knapík it comprehends two youth groups living in the fifties: Svazarmists and the rebels (in Czech called “Pásci” – it literally means “Belts”), that represent two completely different youth attitudes towards the regime. Phenomenon of the rebels is analysed in this study as independent, in part socially pathological subculture of young people, which shaped itself politically just under the influence of the regime. The political views were often imposed on it. The study also comprehends the representation of the rebels in the film from the 1950s till present day. Didactic application is based on the confrontation of multimedia, utilization of memories depicting life in the rebel gangs and period ideologically influenced cartoons. The theme of nonconformist young people makes it possible to draw the multi-perspective image of the fifties and demonstrate the oppressive actions of the regime on the basis of adequate social and cultural context, call attention to the limitations of these actions and to strategies some youth groups used to avoid these actions.

For today’s workers, the process of aging will differ from previous generations. Social contracts among governments, employers, and individuals are central to retirement systems around the world. Today, throughout their lifetime, individuals are more responsible for their finances than ever before. Financial markets are rapidly changing with developments in technology and new and more complex financial products. Skills are becoming more critical and it is important to understand whether people are equipped to effectively navigate the maze of financial decisions that they face every day. Generous defined social security benefit pension plans are diminishing, as life expectancy and the need for self-funded retirement savings are increasing. In this paper, the author presents the results of the research conducted in the region of Slavonia related to retirement literacy and understanding of the financial behavior of the population of teachers that work in schools. The questionnaire was based on the Big Three financial and retirement literacy measurement and The Aegon Retirement Readiness Survey. The goal of the research is to compare the results to similar research studies and to find out financial understanding and the need for organizing retirement literacy education for teachers’ population in the region of Slavonia.

The present work describes some good teaching practices in religion-Eastern Orthodox in the contemporary Bulgarian school. The main focus is on the extra-curricular activities as an unlimited opportunity to put into practice what has been learnt in the classroom environment. Some of the activities are as follows: summer pilgrimage camps in monasteries where children participate in common prayers during the Divine Liturgy and have educational discussions with priests, drama plays and celebrations devoted to the Lord's and Virgin's feasts, the creation of an interactive game book of encyclopaedic character with the title “Lap book of the Christian child“. Another innovative practice is the "Going into the Temple Together" which gathers students, teachers and parents into a common spiritual experience. The joint pilgrimage trips bring tribute to holy places and build positive behaviours among adolescents.

This research examines one unusual perspective towards the preservation of the cultural heritage through the Bulgarian educational system. It traces the possible mechanisms for inheritance and identification, that relate to the opportunity given to the children to get to know their roots (through fieldwork expeditions), to preserve the knowledge of their own ethnic community (and to become its heralds) and to pass it on to their coevals. The article examines the fact whether it is possible to give an opportunity to familiarise the children with their ethnicity, to preserve their knowledge of it and become heralds of the folklore knowledge, through projects in the realm of education. This research presents one practical attempt in the village of Asparuhovo, to find the answer of the above question. It reviews how the folklore is present in the "Asparuhovo - Future of the Folklore World" school project, what environment it creates, what it means for the participants and how important is it in the educational process. It defends the proposition, that after taking part in it the students change their understanding of the ethnic knowledge and have a basis for a different type of identification.

We have placed our understanding of knowledge society between the conception of seeing it as a real existing society and the conception of the ideal society we strive for. In the context of knowledge society, the responses of education and training to the needs arising from the influence of contemporary characteristics of the world of work have been considered. The analysis shows that, in parallel with the changes in the world of work, there are also changes occurring in education, that is, the creation of education and training inherent in knowledge society occurs through the process of meeting the needs for learning and knowledge.

Draganom Primorcem.

Competitiveness is an actual and important issue of economic theory and practice. It is a challenge to highlight the current understanding of her, to present and analyze the spectrum of factors underlying her, and to reveal opportunities for implementing policies to manage. The report presents a survey at the macroeconomic level, and the object of the surveys is the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy. The scientifi c community has an interest in such an understanding, but it would be a good study to explore the strengths and weaknesses of the competitiveness that is the subject of the study. The aim is to make them systematized and serve as a reference for the most appropriate policy. In order to achieve this, the following tasks are envisaged: 1) Identifying and analyzing the essence and basic concepts of the competitiveness ategory at macro level. 2) Analyzing the current competitiveness in Bulgaria. 3) Assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy.4) To formulate conclusions and recommendations for our national competitiveness and possible policy decisions.

Fundamental factors related to the evolutionary development and functioning of virtual teams have been researched. The context, the prerequisites, the essential characteristics, the advantages and disadvantages of the virtual teams are analyzed in detail. Based on theoretical monitoring, different forms of virtuality, types of virtual teams and typology are defi ned. The reasons for the implementation of virtual teams in organizational practice are explored. Two fundamental factors are identifi ed: globalization and the development of new ICT. The result is the integration of virtual teams into the organizational infrastructure as a tool for managing change and achieving new levels of effi ciency and competitiveness in highly uncertain environments. This requires the development of competences (knowledge and skills) in the fi eld of social relations and communication, confi dence building, new behavior and adapted management leadership to coordinate technologies and processes in a multicultural business environment.
