In accordance with the wording of the main topic of the conference, participants of the event offered an examination of the problem of apriority in different perspectives and limits of different methodological bases. Views on apriority revealed an ambivalence of the concept — a paradox related to the diversity a priori; a priori in logical and transcendental sense; the closest in concept that can be reached only through the farthest; the character of relation to a priori on which depends the recognition or rejection of ontological or metaphysical understanding of philosophy. A number of reports were dedicated to the role of apriority in theology, everyday life, evolution biology.

Modern French phenomenology has adopted two fundamental moments from late Heidegger’s texts: “phenomenology of the invisible” or “implicit” and problematization of event as a pattern of all kinds of phenomena. Peculiarity of phenomenological tradition resulted in a reconsideration of the concept of the phenomenon and its transformation into event, view on phenomenology as “real philosophy” that caused the second after theological “turn in the tradition”, analysis of problems of the body and speech as well as the key role of ethical (practical) and theological problems.

Kultūros krizės samprata Osvaldo Spenglerio filosofijoje

The article analyzes the insights of the famous German philosopher. Oswald Spengler, on the evolution of civilization and the causes of cultural crisis. In the first part and on the basis of a disjunction between culture and civilization, the article demonstrates that in Spengler‘s cultural studies, the culture presents vital trends of the evolution of a society: development, freedom of the personality, the period of a creative improvement and prosperity; civilization as the last phase of culture marks the death and stagnation time, and at the same time expresses a cultural crisis as a recession of the authentic creation, finally determining the end of culture. The second part focuses on the relationships between cities and villages; the analysis highlights the opposition between civilization and cultural development. The study examines Spengler‘s position on the causes of culture crisis. It shows that in a rural environment the vital cultural spirit of individuality, intuition, naturality, freedom, tradition, values and religiosity is flourishing. City, megapolis, which is a product of civilization, conversely consolidates the urban environment. That environment determines the mass cultural spread, the devaluation of traditional values, consumerism, pragmatism, the fashion cult and the sketchy standards of beauty. Here destructively runs the cultural evolution. Cultural evolution destroys authentic creativity and cultural values.

Eros i jezik u kontekstu problematike subjektivnost/intersubjektivnost kod Levinasa

This paper is primarily trying to emphasize that love in Levinas's thinking, both in its early and later stages, superior to other ethical factors, and thus to the speech and language in general. It would not, in fact, only Eros from the early period was a dominant ethical force, but also the responsibility for the Other from second period would be. The rise of the importance of language at this period of time cannot bring into question the privileged position of love. Having this in mind then definitely character becomes questionable, meaning even the ultimate success of the intended linguistic turn in this case. It is the question of the very possibility of speech in any linguistic turn in Levinas's opinion. To about it might be to say it would be necessary that love is degraded or dislocated, but it shows that this was not the case. On the contrary, it turns out that love is constantly and tirelessly treated as important and basic ethical lever.

The Politics of Aesthetics and the Hatred of Democracy according to Jacques Rancière

Among readers of Jacques Rancière there is a discussion about the possibility of aesthetics substituting for real political action. This is because while the French author elaborateson the conception of the emancipated spectator, he states that the political task of art cannotbe the removal of the spectator from her “passive” condition into the dimension of politicalaction, but only the suspension of the relationship between “active” and “passive”. However, inAisthesis, published in 2011, Rancière warns the reader that it is not a case of abandoning theaesthetic utopia, even if any teleological view is withdrawn. In this article, I intend to discussthese paradoxes by confronting the considerations of Le Spectateur émancipé and La Haine dela démocratie, trying to show that if politics itself presupposes action, the politics of aestheticsmust be understood as a non-identification process that takes subjects out of the places thatwere “addressed” to them beforehand. In La Haine de la démocratie one of the symptoms ofthe crisis of representative democracy is presented by the fact that it produces oligarchies and,on the other hand, new social dynamics appear as the conquest of a new citizenship that confrontsthese political oligarchies. Noting that demonstrations today, whether in Turkey, Spain,or New York, are similar to artistic happenings, Rancière can say that where there is aestheticsthere is democracy. Understanding this last statement is the aim of the present article.

Art’s Commitment to Liberation in Marcuse’s Philosophy

Art has a liberating function because it stands on the opposite side of a suppressed society; it is deeply connected with the public’s daily life and has an inherent characteristic of “catharsis”, like describing a good society and identifying with freedom. In the eyes of the theorists of the Frankfurt School, its form is what makes “art” art, while the autonomy of art is what realizes the transcendence and detachment of art over and from society and politics in reality by constructing a new and tangible kingdom of art. Artistic form, artistic autonomy, and the liberation of mankind are the integral parts that form art and they constitute all the elements that are needed in the art world. For as long as art exists, it will keep its commitment to truth, happiness, and liberation. This paper examines the inevitable inherent relationship between art and liberation mainly through discussing and studying Marcuse’s theories of art and aesthetics.

This text primarily deals with Hans Vaihinger‘s fiction theory. Emphasizing the central role of scientific fiction in that theory, it attempts to give a critical account of Vaihinger‘s philosophical theory of ‚As if‘. On the one hand, this analysis of the philosophy of ‚As if‘ includes conceptual delimitation between the notion of fiction and concepts of fantasy, hypothesis, and regulatory ideas. On the other hand, it points out to some problems related to Vaihinger‘s constructivist-pragmatic approach to the problem of fiction, such as a tendency towards an unreasonable extension of the notion of fiction, and a tendency towards the integration of other forms of fictionality into scientific fiction.

This fight is a fight for a measure, which shall lead each man who lives in absurd conditions of the existence in this world.

Филозофска антропологија Николе Милошевића

The purpose of this text is to point out the key intellectual fulcrums of Milošević’s philosophical anthropology. Since philosophical anthropology itself is layered and jagged, its scope in the text is bounded by two key problems that Nikola Milošević concerned himself with, which are the question of ‘human nature’ and the question of ‘free will’. Given that a final and exact answer to these questions is not, nor will it likely ever be possible, Milošević’s empirical, anti-metaphysical ontological perspective, within which he endeavored to build his philosophical anthropology, is placed in opposition to a Christian (Orthodox) ontological perspective, in an attempt to – through comparative analysis – open up a deeper level of insight into the problem in question.

Pojam atmosfere u novoj fenomenologiji Hermanna Schmitza

This paper will discuss the concept of atmosphere in the new phenomenology of Hermann Schmitz. It is one of Schmitz’s central concepts, and it is used to indicate the basis of experience of reality and the self, with respect to how they are revealed to the phenomenological analysis. This concept, therefore, refers to the concrete phenomena of atmosphere, but it also testifies to the way in which Schmitz understands and questions the phenomenology as such. The paper aims to present the concept of atmosphere primarily in the view of second indicated perspective, by the analysis of the structure of the concept and the phenomenon of atmosphere, by associating them with the Schmitz’s notions of body and space, and, finally, by comparing Schmitz’s analysis to the positions of other phenomenologists. The analysis shows that the concept of atmosphere in Schmitz’s phenomenology is primarily a theoretical ground for the foundation of phenomenological process itself.

In dieser Arbeit wird versucht, ein klassisches philosophisches Problem – das Verhältnis zwischen Sein und Denken – unter der Voraussetzung des zeitgenössischen Philosophierens zu denken. Die Voraussetzung der zeitgenössischen Philosophie wird als linguistische Wende und deren nachfolgende Ausformungen aufgefasst. In dieser Optik wird der Begriff des Leibes in der Neuen Phänomenologie in den Grundlinien dargelegt und zudem wird versucht, die Bedeutung dieses Begriffs für die zeitgenössische Philosophie zu bezeugen.

Robert Spaemann is the most eminent philosopher in Germany today. The reasonableness of faith in God constitutes one of most important themes of his philosophy. For this reason, he formulates a new proof of the existence of God in which God is the “being of sense”. Such dispute is unusually difficult, especially after Nietzsche and Foucault's critique of philosophy. Spaemann begins his argumentation with Nietzsche, and his clasical thesis: "I am afraid that we will not be able to free ourselves from God as long as we believe in grammar." This statement is a starting point for the development of “the proof for the existence of God from the grammar”.

«ИСКУССТВО ЖИЗНИ» СТОИКОВ

The article focuses on the Stoic notion of “art of living”. First of all, I discuss the Socratic phrase “art that one used for taking pains over oneself”, which is a prototype of the studied concept. Then I show that Socratic normative requirement to take care of one’s own soul was taken up by the Stoics and equipped with a clear perception of the conditions of its practicability. These perceptions have appeared thanks to the Zeno’s definition of art as a ‘system of concepts’. However, the mechanism of its realization remained obscured due to the rigor of early Stoic doctrine. Only the Roman Stoicism, especially this of Seneca, was able to develop the “art of living” as a theoretical and practical concept.
