Päť veľkých faktorov osobnosti a lokalizácia kontroly správania ako prediktory štýlov rozhodovania

The study focuses on the Big Five personality traits and locus of control in the relationship with decision-making styles. The research sample consisted of 226 students (65 males, 161 females) from various Slovak universities. Big Five Inventory (John & Srivastava, 1999), Internal-External Scale (Rotter, 1966) and General Decision-Making Styles (Scott & Bruce, 1995) were used to measure the defined characteristics. Correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis was conducted. The results showed that each personality trait contribute to the prediction of at least one decision-making style: conscientiousness and openness to experience to rational style; openness to experience and agreeableness to intuitive style; neuroticism and agreeableness to dependent style; conscientiousness, neuroticism and agreeableness to avoidant style; conscientiousness, openness to experience and extraversion to spontaneous style. Dependent decision-making style is predicted also by locus of control. These findings are discussed from the perspective of adaptive and non-adaptive decision-making styles.

Kyberstalking z pohledu oběti a agresora u studentů středních a vysokých škol

The aim of this paper is to analyze cyberstalking as a risk behavior from in cyberspace among secondary and university students. The results are examined from the perspective of victim, which designed schoolmate and student as aggressors. Aggressors designed schoolmates and students like a most frequent victims. Transition from cyberstalking to direct physical stalking is also examined. The most common option is given "He/she spread about me information or rumors, rumors on the Internet, in public space or otherwise verbally". Cyberstalking present a dangerous form of stalking using modern communication technologies, especially the Internet. This phenomenon has now legal impact and is given an increased attention.

Osobnostné, rodinné a situačno-motivačné faktory pravidelného pitia u vysokoškolákov

The paper deals with the topic of alcoholic behavior and its influencing factors. Personal, family and situation-motivational factors we examine in the population of college students and analyze them in the context of the occurrence (or non-occurence) of regular drinking. To obtain the data the questionnaires were used: NEOFFI (Ruisel, & Halama) (neuroticism, extraversion), The questionnaire of education style in the family (Čáp, & Boshek) and original Questionnaire of situation-motivational alcohol behavior factors (Rojková, 2010). The aim is to determine whether neuroticism, extraversion, education style in the family or alcohol behavior in the family and dependence in the family relate to the incidence of regular drinking among college students. Further we investigate the links between extraversion, neuroticizmom and situation-motivational faktors of regular drinking "influence of group" and "escape from problems".

TRANSFORMATION OF EDUCATION: FROM DEHUMANIZATION TO RE-HUMANIZATION OF SOCIETY

With the approach of constant changes and quality assurance in education, we have reached an optimum that no longer justifies all further investments in such changes, as the results of these investments are (and will be) minimal and insufficient. We have reached a stage where we must shift from evolution to revolution, from constant changes in education to its complete transformation. Here, we must point out that we must reverse the flow of systemic changes from the dehumanization of society as that in Industry 4.0 or, in a slightly softer form, the Japanese vision of Society 5.0. This reverse flow offers us the re-humanization of society's development and it can be called Society 6.0 or, historically, also Society 1.1 (back to the past, to the first industrial revolution). Furthermore, finally, the ultimate question must be asked: What does it mean to be human, and what is humans’ future?

Университетски зимни игри – Пампорово 2022

The Tenth Winter University Games were held in the Rhodope ski resort of Pamporovo from March 20 to 23, 2022. The organizers of the event were the multi-sport university federation AUS „Academik“ together with the National Assembly of Students׳ Councils. The purpose of this article is to introduce us in detail with the organization, results and ranking of the Winter University Games. During the games, the National University Championships in alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing from the state sports calendar of AUS „Academik“ were held. The University of Forestry Students׳ became the complex champion in the huge competition from 27 universities with over 350 participants. They won a total of six gold, five silver and three bronze medals. Technical University of Sofia ranked second with 6 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals, and 155 in third place was the NSA „Vassil Levski“ with 3 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze medals.

Comparison of Selected Aspects of Financial Literacy and their Differences in the Conditions of University Education in Slovakia

The inability to make qualified financial decisions has a very negative impact on peoples’ lives. From this point of view financial literacy represents a basic and inevitable skill that is important for human existence in the 21st century. In many countries, there is a trend towards decreasing state support of individual retirement income, in result of which individuals have to manage their financial resources by themselves in order to secure sustainable retirement and to retain their financial wellbeing standard in the future. Supporting the raise of financial literacy, in particular for young generation, could contribute to better knowledgeability and readiness for household and retirement planning. The authors focus on financial habits and financial behaviour of respondents and their skills in terms of financial literacy concept. This study is aimed at comparison of levels of financial literacy of chosen economic faculties in Slovakia, as well as comparison of levels of financial literacy between the first year undergraduates and those graduates who are in the final year of their studies. The authors statistically process primary data which were collected through a survey in 2015-2016. The data were obtained from economic faculties of three different universities in Slovakia. Correlative data dependence of selected variables and their intensity is analysed using Probit model. The research line is defined by a few hypotheses, and the main goal is to explain the impact of respondents’ financial literacy in terms of their sex, high school background and university study program on financial habits.

Interrelation of personal characteristics with financial literacy as a guide to financial behavior of Russian students

The research is aimed at analyzing influence of various personal characteristics of young students along with financial literacy on their expected financial behavior. Besides financial literacy, we singled out such personal characteristics as prodigality, credulity, risk preference and propensity for offence or unethical behavior. Our research is based on the data obtained by sample questionnaire survey of full-time students learning economics at Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorord, Russia. For evaluation of each personal characteristic we asked respondents to answer twelve direct and indirect questions, which enabled us to both outline distribution of the estimated features among students and calculate their average values. For the whole sample we found medium positive correlation between prodigality, risk preference and propensity for offence or unethical behavior, while other pairs demonstrated weak correlations. Further clustering of the whole sample into six approximately equal groups with use of the Ward’s method allowed us to receive more pronounced dependencies between characteristics within these groups, albeit different by sign. We found out that combining various characteristics with different level of financial literacy ensured quite opposite types of expected financial behavior. This emphasizes the role of personality development as a complex task even more important for students just entering the financial market.

INNOVATIVE APPROACHES TO SYSTEM OF EDUCATION FOCUSING ON BUSINESS

Innovations are considered to be the engine of economic development worldwide. Universities and companies are the main subjects in society that predetermine the quality of human potential and development of knowledge based economy. The main aim of the paper was to make assessment and analysis of innovation in education to business co-operations in Slovakia and glance also for regional development. The main resources of information were from the Statistical Office of Slovak Republic, Academic Ranking and Rating Agency and Institute for Economic and Social Reforms as well as well known institutions (McKinsey Global Institute) and reports. There were used multiple scientific methods as well as method of structured interview. The most significant shortage is weak interconnection and relationship between education providers and companies. Clearly, employers need to work with education providers so that students learn the skills they need to succeed at work.

REGIONÁLNÍ TRH TERCIÁRNÍHO VZDĚLÁVÁNÍ – PŘÍPAD MORAVSKOSLEZSKÉHO KRAJE

The presence of the university in the region can have several effects on the region, especially in the economic sphere. Previous studies have used different methods to quantify these effects. Main effects can be characterized by demand or supply side, direct or indirect. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the development of tertiary education in the Moravian-Silesian Region between the years 2000 and 2016. The analysis shows fact that the number of students has changed significantly over time and the regionalization of universities with headquarter in this region has decreased significantly. At the same time, it was found that a large proportion of students residing in MSK are leaving to study in other regions.

To meet the goals of this work, it is based on data acquired through questionnaires. Research was implemented during 2016. Output article provides insight into the efforts of students and schools to increase their chances in the labour market and their priorities that favour in future work.

VYJÍŽĎKA ZA VYSOKOŠKOLSKÝM VZDĚLÁNÍM Z PERIFERNÍCH VENKOVSKÝCH REGIONŮ: PŘÍPADOVÁ STUDIE VYSOKÉ ŠKOLY EKONOMICKÉ V PRAZE

The aim of this paper is to evaluate the development of commuting for education from peripheral rural districts of the Czech Republic in the period 1995-2015 in the case of University of Economics, Prague (UEP). The cartogram technique was used for the evaluation of the development of students´ commuting intensity. The base unit is a district (LAU 1). The UEP student is a Czech citizen who ha permanent residence in the Czech Republic and participates in full-time study. Commuting for education has a different intensity from peripheral rural districts of the Czech Republic. In the longterm the relatively high commuting is from the Klatovy district, and also from the border districts of the Královéhradecký region and from the district Uherské Hradiště in the Zlínský region. The availability of the Faculty of Management in Jindřichův Hradec positively affects commuting from adjacent districts of the Jihočeský and Vysočina region.

In response to the negative impacts of Covid-19, it is urgent and crucial the initiatives for the digital transformation of educational activities at all levels related to the development of new inclusive digital pedagogical methods and skills for relevant and suitable use of digital educational tools aimed at learners (including to participants with disabilities) to be supported. This creates the conditions for a more integrated EU strategy to draft a proposal for a Council Recommendation on the factors contributing to successful digital education, which implies a real digital revolution in educational processes and learning skills. This article presents the main results of a study conducted within the EDU- GATE 2020-1-IT02-KA226-HE-095538 project, covering cross-sectional needs analysis and detailed multisectoral analysis of the current state of digital learning in higher education in Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, and Latvia.

Teaching and Learning with Audiovisual Media: Empirical Analysis of the Effectiveness of Podcasts in Financial Literacy

The more differentiated we explore learning materials in terms of financial literacy, the more diverse are the ways to remember and retain. The reminder rate increases significantly the more senses are involved in the learning process. Audio recordings can be useful in addition to classroom teaching and can be used at any time, any place, and any pace. While other studies considered the implications of digitization, and eventually e-learning, or the knowledge gap regarding to student-generated podcasts in language learning, this paper examines the impact of podcasting in financial literacy. As part of the primary data collection, a questionnaire was conducted with students from both, Bachelor's and Master's degree programs at FOM University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Within the survey, the general handling and attitude to podcasts was examined, as well as the evaluation of defined contributions to the topic of financial literacy. From the questionnaire results (n = 86) the method of logistic regression is used to answer some important hypotheses in this paper. The outcomes present binary insights with respect to the usage of podcasts in the field of financial literacy and education. Firstly, the study derives, that configuration of podcasts affects the transfer of knowledge in financial literacy. With respect to the length of formats, cross connection to recent findings in human psychology are depicted. Furthermore, in terms of learners' perspective, the study reveals limited dependency of the acceptance of podcasts with respect to age, gender and prior education.

ZHODNOTENIE VYBRANÝCH INDIKÁTOROV VZDELÁVANIA V SLOVENSKEJ REPUBLIKE A FÍNSKU SO ZAMERANÍM NA INOVÁCIE A ROZVOJ

Innovations are an essential part of everyday life. They form an important part in all spheres of life and represent an essential direction in identifying the multilateral development of countries and their regions. The main aim of the paper is to identify, analyze and evaluate selected indicators focused on innovations and education system in the Slovak Republic in comparison with Finland and the EU and their impact on the development of the country and regions. The basic concepts necessary for a more detailed understanding of the achieved results were described in the paper. While the empirical data were obtained, methods of direct data collection using analytical, selective and synthetic procedures were used, in particular from OECD, Eurostat and European innovation scoreboard statistics and databases. An important part of understanding the objectives and significance of the factors examined was the assessment of innovation based on the indicators identified in relation to education, cooperation and development and research in the countries under comparison. In spite of two demonstrably different educational systems, Slovakia is a lagging country behind the leader in an innovative approach to achieving education in all indicators. Based on the results of the research, it can be stated that one of the decisive reasons why Slovakia lags behind Finland and the European Union average was lower support for R&D expenditures by the state, which may also be related to disparities between countries and their regions.

VYSOKÉ ŠKOLY V STREDNEJ A VÝCHODNEJ EURÓPE – ŠTRUKTURÁLNE A PRIESTOROVÉ ASPEKTY

Universities in Central and Eastern Europe have a different history compared to universities in developed market economies. Research on the impact of universities on regional development should be aware of and respect the structural dissimilarities as well as variations in the spatial structure of universities. This article aims to identify the main differences of higher education institutions in these countries. We use simple descriptive analysis of university data in the ETER database, and we document the results both graphically and by map outputs. The analysis shows that the main differences are as follows: smaller size, shorter period of existence, higher representation of private schools, lower quality of universities and higher rate of concentration in the capitals city regions. Subsequently, we discuss the implications of these differences for the impact of higher education institutions on regional development in Central and Eastern Europe.

FINANCOVÁNÍ VEŘEJNÉHO VYSOKÉHO ŠKOLSTVÍ V ČESKÉ REPUBLICE V LETECH 2010 AŽ 2017 V REGIONÁLNÍCH SOUVISLOSTECH

Czech public higher education has seen significant changes in both its structure and funding over the past two decades. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the development of financing of public higher education in the Czech Republic between 2010 and 2017. Publicly available data of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports were applied for the analysis. Three financial sources were taken into consideration - budget headings I to IV, institutional support for the long-term conceptual development of the research organization and support for specific research. European resources were excluded from the analysis. The data show that although the financial support increased slightly in the observed period, the individual components developed differently. The biggest drop was seen in funding under heading I, while the large increase was typical for institutional support. Another finding is a different impact on individual public higher education institutions, when the largest universities included in segment IV reached the largest increase.

Big data refers to a large amount of data, structured or unstructured, from a variety of sources. These data may be too large, complex or rapid to be managed with traditional data management tools. Big data analytics aims to identify different relationships and patterns within these data sets and to obtain meaningful information from these data. Various sectors such as finance, health, production, transportation and commerce benefit from the value of the data produced in increasing amounts. Big data has the potential to provide valuable insights to organizations to facilitate decision making, improve products and services, increase efficiency, or identify and solve problems. Another sector where big data is used is education. Higher education institutions collect more data than ever before, as they use digital media for various purposes, especially for the storage of student data. Large amounts of data have the capacity to provide valuable information about the learning process to key education stakeholders such as students, faculty, administrators, instructional designers, and provide several benefits. In this study, the use of big data in open and distance learning is discussed and examples of applications in the world are given. In addition, the study summarizes the difficulties encountered in accessing, analyzing and using big data.

Academic honesty is the right and fair behavior of students and instructors by following ethical principles and rules in the learning and teaching processes. It includes behaviors such as not plagiarizing, doing homework, projects and exams by the student himself, and not cheating. It is important for students to follow the rules of academic honesty, to have a successful educational experience and for their future careers. Academic honesty is an issue that must be taken into account for all educational levels and types of teaching. Especially in distance education systems, the issue of academic honesty should be discussed by researchers and studies should be carried out to increase academic honesty. The aim of this study is to increase students' awareness of academic honesty in distance education and to determine effective strategies that they can use in this field. In the study, the role and responsibilities of instructors and educational institutions in distance education were also examined. It is thought that this study will be a useful resource for researchers interested in academic honesty in distance education.

Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Bağımlılık Türleri Açısından İncelenmesi

In the study, it was aimed to examine the relationships between the risk levels of smoking, alcohol, substance and internet use addiction among university students. The sample consists of 1189 associate, undergraduate and graduate students studying at Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University. According to the findings, the risk of smoking addiction according to the gender of the participants and the income of the family; It has been observed that it varies according to the status of smoking and alcohol use in the family and whether or not to work at the moment, but it does not differ according to the educational status of the parents. It was concluded that the risk of substance addiction differed according to the family alcohol use status of the participants, but did not differ significantly for other variables. It has been determined that there is a difference between the variables of internet addiction and alcohol use in the family and whether they are currently working or not, and there is no difference in terms of mother, father education, gender, family income and smoking in the family. It has been determined that the risk of alcohol addiction differs according to the variables of gender, mother's education, father's education, family income, smoking and alcohol use in the family, and whether or not to work at the moment. According to the findings, the relationship between the risk of internet addiction and substance addiction, alcohol use in the family, substance use in the family and currently working at work; between cigarette addiction and alcohol use risk, substance use risk, gender, family income, family smoking status, family alcohol use, and employment status; between alcohol dependence and substance use risk, gender, mother's education, father's education, family income, smoking in the family, alcohol use in the family, and current employment status; A relationship was found between substance abuse and family alcohol use.
