The text consists of two parts. In the first part of the article, the authors discuss the theory of desistance, that is, a trend in Anglo-Saxon criminology dealing with the explanation of the process of withdrawal (desistance) from criminal activity. To the so-called “turnings points,” i.e. life events which bring about the abandonment of further breaching of rules of law are, inter alia, entering into marriage, getting a job and adequate remuneration, the birth of a child, joining the army, starting education, or religious conversion. In the second part of the article, the authors present researches which illustrate the most important family and peer predictors of becoming involved in criminal activity.

The issue of the social rehabilitation of the homeless is a difficult and complex topic, because it is determined by multiple factors, external as well as individualistic. Problems in obtaining statistical data on former homeless people are caused by, among others, the reluctance of this group to reveal its past. In this article the author presents the results of research conducted on those who have escaped homelessness.

Duygusal Emeğin İş Performansi Üzerindeki Etkisi: Denizli İlinde Hizmet Sektöründe Görgül Bir Araştirma

The aim of the present study is to investigate the impact of the emotional labor on employees’ task and contextual performances. For this aim, a research based on relational screening method was conducted on 314 participants working in the service sector. The data gained from the study were analyzed using descriptive statistics (such as mean, standard deviation), correlation and regression analyses. According to results of the study, statistically significant relationships were found between the dimensions of emotional labor and the dimensions of job performance. In addition, it was found that task and contextual performance decreasing as surface acting was increasing. Additionally task and contextual performances increasing as deep acting and genuine emotions were increasing. The results obtained from the analysis are consistent with the literature.

The purpose of this paper is to suggest a solution to supplier selection problem which is an important decision problem for manufacturing companies by using ANP, Taguchi Loss Function and TOPSIS methods. In the theoretical part of the paper, the basic principles related to chosen multi criteria decision methods are explained. After that, a tire manufacturing company’s machine mold manufacturing and maintenance supplier selection problem is considered and two different integrated methods are used for this problem solution. ANP- Taguchi methods and ANP- TOPSIS methods are used comparatively for selecting the best supplier.

Bayan Taraftarların Stadyumlarda Futbol Maçı Seyretmemelerine Neden Olan Etmenlerin Araştırılması

In this study, it was tried to investigate the reasons why women supporters do not watch football matches in stadiums. To serve the aim, a 36- item questionnaire with five poit Likert- type questions was prepared. Some of the items in the questionnaire were later excluded from the survey, and remaining 24 items were used. Participants were chosen using a simple random sampling method, and randomly selected 300 women aged 15 and over and living in Eskişehir in May 10- 25, 2013 participated in the study. The reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was found to be 0.832. This result indicates that the survey was reliable. It was applied to the obtained data with the factor analysis. As a result of factor analysis, 24 items were collected at the rate of 7 factors, and variance explanations were determined as 66.1%. According to the Kaiser- Meyer- Olkin value criteria used to evaluate sample adequacy, KMO value was calculated as 0.792. For Barlett sphericity test employed to study the suitability of data for factor analysis, the value of the test statistic was defined as 2670.220 (p <0.01).

Sağlık İşletmelerinde Finansal Oranlar Aracılığıyla Performans Ölçümü: Hastanelerde Bir Uygulama

This study intends to measure the financial performance of hospitals as per the financial ratios obtained from the financial statements of Public and private hospitals that have a status of general hospital. 53 State hospitals have a status of AII whereas 42 of them have a status of group B. 4 private hospitals involved in the study have been subject to VZA individually for each of the two groups. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has been selected as the method of application for research. As a model, inputoriented CCR and BCC models have been used. It has been found that only 36% of the both groups of State hospitals analysed here under have been performing with full efficiency. It has been further found that 50% of the State hospitals of group AII and of private hospitals analysed herein have been performing with full efficiency whereas only 25% of the group B analyses were found to be performed at full capacity.

Instytucję małżeństwa w Japonii regulują Konstytucja Japonii oraz ustawy szczegółowe. W tych aktach prawnych możemy znaleźć przepisy prawne, które określają warunki, jakie spełnić muszą nupturienci, aby zawrzeć związek małżeński. Liczne badania statystyczne dotyczące małżeństwa prowadzone przez organizacje rządowe wskazują na ewolucję tejże instytucji w Japonii. Analizując wyniki badań statystycznych, można stwierdzić, że zmianie ulegają wszystkie możliwe parametry oscylujące wokół pojęcia małżeństwa. Japoński rząd za pomocą programu „Abenomika” próbuje zachęcić kobiety do podjęcia pracy, ale ma im również ułatwić pogodzenie jej z rolą matki.

The article is based on research which aims to find out the attitudes of social workers toward gender equality. Research questions are the following ones: what are social workers’ attitudes to gender equality in families and families at risk? What are the main obstacles in implementation of gender equality in families at risk? What are possibilities for implementation of gender equality in families at risk? In order to answer the research questions and to meet the research goal, qualitative research was done. Eight social workers, who work with families at risk, were interviewed using a semi-structured interview. Content analysis was used to analyse research data. Gender equality is understood as a division of duties and responsibilities according to person’s needs, abilities and interests, not causing discomfort sense to another person. Gender equality issue in social work practice is important, because gender equality is one of the main prerequisites for general wellbeing of the family. A social worker could influence positive changes in families and society concerning gender issue threw prevention and intervention. Research data shows that research participants see little relation between social work and gender equality issue. Gender equality is a hot question in most of the families and almost impossible in families at risk. The main obstacles are negative attitudes of clients, too big requirements to mother/wife, attitudes of other institutions (police, day care centers), discriminating and unjust social system, competences of social workers, lack of information about gender equality and lack of time for work with clients. Research participants define various possibilities for ensuring gender equality in families: information provision and education of society, cooperation with other institutions, prevention and intervention to families and its member. However, research data shows that social workers do not see themselves as important agents in gender equality field. Possibilities for ensuring gender equality are discussed more on theoretical level than based on professional experience.

Надзор во социјалната работа - Фаза на спроведување во реформскиот процес на системот на социјална и детска заштита во Република Црна Гора

In the current context of the reform of social and child protection in Montenegro, the corresponding model of supervision should take into account the real professional and institutional capacities. The created model of supervision corresponds to the Anglo-Saxon tradition in the implementation of supervisory support. This paper examines the functionality of the current implementation process of the supervisory support to the professional workers in the centers for social work in Montenegro. Analysis of the characteristics of the supervision process is based on data and information collected through the analysis of laws, regulations and expert reports, direct observation of the work of professional staff of the center for social work, field visits and interviews with employees of the Institute of Social and Child Protection. Problems identified in the allocation of competencies, scope of work and clarity significantly limit the role of the supervisory process. In the countries with a developed practice of supervision clarity of roles and responsibilities of individual actors is achieved through a process that clarifies the purpose and boundaries of supervision. If the model of supervision does not meet the standards that guarantee the effectiveness and flexibility in providing customer service, then such a model does not guarantee sustainability of system in the long term. In conclusion are recommended guidelines for the further development of an appropriate model of supervision in social work centers in Montenegro.

Dimensiuni ale schimbării sociale în comunitatea rurală

We propose three dimensions of analysis of changes in rural community: changes produced in the community structure, changes produced in the relations inside community, changes produced in the status roles. The Romanian village is moving from a relatively closed, homogeneous community with a focus on agricultural activities to an outward-looking community that no longer values the agricultural activities. If age and sex accounted, for a long time, as a master-status in family and community, today there is a tendency to equalization of roles and an intensification of the conflict between generations. Institution of education begins to be strongly valued and economic production is moved, mostly, outside the household. The media create a meta-reality where people live and which becomes a reference point when they talk about their community. Proximity to the city and regular contact with it are beneficial conditions for change. However, the village still lacks human resources which are necessary for a better adaptation to the new demands of society.

Social actors argue that Sociology studies social reality as a whole, but that it also deals with certain parts, phenomena and processes of this reality and their multiple and various connections with the whole. In the social space, there are many groups that interact and therefore there are many types of messages designed to reach one group or the other. Public opinion is the product of the human minds’ response and the sum of individual thoughts makes the group thinking. Management, in this case, means the analysis of each individual and then the analysis of public thinking. The response is obtained by using the communication media between the individual and the people, by bringing the two social actors together and by creating those symbols to which public thinking is expected to respond.

Planificarea şi utilizarea spaţiului urban din subteran

The present research aims to define the concept of planning the underground urban space, to establish its use and some fundamental principles in this regard. At the most basic level, the underground provided rock shelters and caves as refuge from harsh climates and mortal enemies, water and mineral reserves, and ambient places to store food. Use of Urban Underground Space has been growing significantly in the world’s biggest and wealthiest cities and has been long acknowledged to be important to the urban development agenda: sustainability, resilience, livability, and creating a better urban environment in particular. To meet the growing and growing needs of our urban environment, some of these uses could be moved underground, so that the underground space is a resource for those functions that do not have to be on the surface.

Dobrovoľníctvo a jeho význam pri práci so seniormi

The article highlights volunteering in social services focusing on working with senior citizens. Volunteering is becoming an increasingly popular and sought-after form of help that volunteers perform selflessly, from their own initiative, thus contributing to improving society, while at the same time encouraging positive change. As part of the provision of social services, volunteering is an irreplaceable site that leads to support for assistance. Volunteers help raise seniority in quality of life, maintain dignity, values, relationships, overcome feelings of loneliness and isolation. Work has a theoretical focus. He points out the importance and benefits of volunteering as well as the volunteer activity performed for seniors in social services.

Relationship between Religious Feeling and Clinical and Personality Traits in Elderly People

Although aging is a biological process, genetically determined and mediated by environmental factors, one of its main characteristics is the gradual dissolution of the human personality. As physiological changes occur and exert a great impact on the physical and mental health of individuals, many old people search for comfort in their relationship with God. Furthermore, due to the reduction of their professional activity, going to church may become, for elderly people, a way of continuing their social life, which they embrace during the last years of their life. A sample of 79 old people, aged between 73 and 86 years, have been assessed with: Clinical Assessment Scales for Elderly people and Autonomy Questionnaire (Cognitrom, Cluj-Napoca, 2012), Religious Feeling Questionnaire (Lupu & Calcan, 2003), Rosenberg’s Self-Esteem Scale and a Moral Values Questionnaire (Sandu & Nadoleanu, 2012). The main objective of the study is to identify the relationship between the religious feeling and some clinical and personality traits in elderly people. Nonparametric correlations were made and the results show that there are strong correlations between religious feeling and depression, mania, self-esteem, and moral values. No significant correlations were found between religious feelings and anxiety, fear of aging, paranoia, and autonomy. Explanations of the results and practical implications of the study are discussed in the end.

Călătoria ca experienţă a multiculturalităţii. Consecinţe etnomuzeologice în Transilvania (II)

In 1862, Franz Binder, a Transylvanian Saxon from Sebeş, came back from Sudan, where he lived almost 12 years and where he would return for another two years as an Austrian vice-consul in Khartoum. He brought from his journey in Bahr al-Ghazal, deep in Africa on the White Nile, beautiful collections of ethnographic objects and plants, which he donated to the Transylvanian Society for Natural Sciences from Sibiu. Thus he acted as the founder of the ethnographic collections of non-European origin in Transylvania, in an historical period when the cultural anthropology was not born as a science. He also published in 1862 a series of traveling impressions, which give us much information about his travels in Orient, Egypt and Sudan and help us to understand the historical climate of the time. The following lines – which represent the continuation of the article, published in the last volume (XXI) of the Studies and Communications of Ethnology – analyze that writing, especially for the part concerning the journeys in Levant and Egypt. The author enhances and makes commentaries around those fragments that illustrate the manner in which Franz Binder had the experience of the multiculturalism, the encounter between self and others, by traveling. If the first part of the article referred especially to the aspects that can be described as people living the same reality in the same space and time, this second part analyzes the manner in which the Mediterranean antic and present civilization is perceived by travelers. The article also presents the interest of Franz Binder in the material culture of the region, some of the few objects he collected there, and the way in which they were turned to good account in museums as ethnographic fragments and elements of the universal cultural heritage.
