The purpose of the research is to identify the relationship between the size of the hospital, measured by annual revenue or number of beds, and current liquidity ratio. We’ve posed two research hypotheses, assuming, that financial liquidity should be lower for smaller hospitals that for larger ones. We have also hypothesized, that for the largest hospital this correlation should be negative.

The paper represents the current state of indebtedness of Czech hospitals independence on the selected financial indicators and parameters. It responds to the current challenges related to adjustments of the health care financing system which not only EU countries are facing. It also points to the problem of financial reporting and accounting processes of organizations providing health care. The research was based on analysis of secondary data, which were selected from annual reports and internal documents of hospitals in the year 2012.

Nowadays employment is a hot topic in Hungary. Many kinds of supplies are provided by the state (on the basis of the 8/1983. EüM-PM Hungarian Law), for example for the group ‘people living with disabilities’. It is very difficult to provide job for these people after their rehabilitation. Statistical figures show, that the highest ratio of ‘people living with disabilities’ can be found in the North Great Plain Region of Hungary (30 per cent of the total number of ‘people living with disabilities’). The employment of these people means extra costs for enterprises. At the same time the complete accessibility of workplaces is still not realized in many cases in Hungary yet. Currently only a few enterprises are specialized to employ people living with disabilities in the North Great Plain Region. Unfortunately most of the enterprises don’t want to employ them. New workplaces for these people should be created by the utilisation of European Union and national available sources in order to integrate them into the job’s world in long run.

2019 senesinin sonu ve 2020 senesinin başı dünya tarihine Covid-19 salgınının ortaya çıktığı zaman olarak geçmeye adaydır. Covid-19 salgınının patlak ver mesinden önce insanlığın çok ilerlemiş olduğu ve bu tip ölümcül salgınların bir daha olmayacağı düşünülüyordu. Salgın hastalıklar geçmişte kalmış ve tıp biliminin ilerlemesiyle tarihe karışmış fenomenler olarak değerlendiren anlayışlar da mevcuttu. Eskiden cüzzam hastalarının nasıl tecrit edildiğini eleştiren, bugün BCG aşısı sayesinde artık sorun olmaktan çıkan verem hastalığından, İspanyol gribi ve veba salgınlarından bahseden söylemler oldukça yaygındır. Fakat unutulmamalıdır ki bilimsel gelişmelere rağmen Covid-19 salgını insanlık tarihinin şu ana kadarki en büyük pandemilerinden biridir. Bu gerçek, insanlığı doğa ve onun insan dışı varlıklarla olan ilişkisini sorgulamaya teşvik eder. İnsan dışı bir varlık olan Corona virüsünün insan vücudunda ölüme kadar varabilecek tahribatlara yol açması insan bedeninin kırılgan bir yapıya sahip olduğunu ve diğer varlıklarla arasında hiyerarşik olmayan bir bağlantı olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu araştırmanın savı, doğa ile insan ve insan dışı varlıkların aralarındaki ilişkilerin yeniden düzenlenmesi/gözden geçirilmesi gerektiğidir. Edebi eserlerde doğanın nasıl yer bulduğunu araştıran ekoeleştiri ve ona posthümanist bir yorum getiren posthümanist ekoeleştiri bu görevi ayrı ayrı veya birlikte üstlenmektedir. Elbette 1978’- den beri kavram olarak ekoeleştiri bilim dünyasında yer almaktadır ve son dönemde yapılan posthümanist ekoeleştiri tanımı ile birlikte bu iki kuramsal çerçeve göz önünde bulundurularak bu bölümde, posthümanist ekoeleştirinin Covid-19 ile bağlantısı kurulmaya çalışılacaktır. Pandemija COVID-19 je i u Republici Srpskoj, kao i u cijelom svijetu, svojom opasnošću po živote ljudi i dugotrajnošću, kao rijetko koja pandemija do sada, značajno uticala na položaj žrtava nasilja u porodici, prvenstveno žena koje se najčešće javljaju kao žrtve. Jedan od razloga koji bitno doprinosi takvoj situaciji jeste i činjenica da se mjere za suzbijanje i sprečavanje širenja ove zarazne bolesti najčešće svode na ograničavanje kretanja izvan kuće i na rad od kuće. Na taj način žrtve su prisiljene da veći dio dana borave u zajedničkim prostorijama sa nasilnikom, što za žrtve uglavnom nije sigurno okruženje, a prisutnost nasilnika i izostanak komunikacije sa drugim ljudima značajno povećavaju opasnost od viktimizacije.

Among the novelty elements that contributed to the thorough rethinking of human life between 2020-2022, a central role was played by an object with a protective role: the mask. If humankind learned numerous rules, notions, concepts, evolution algorithms of COVID-19, etc., of which some either changed along the way or were abandoned and replaced with others, the obligation of wearing a mask has remained an important constant from the beginning and all through the period. In counterbalance, the positive effects – intensely disputable and discussed – of wearing this object have generated consequences at various levels of our personal and social life, including the therapeutic context, which is the object of the present article. Starting from a series of theoretical considerations on the communication between the specialist and the client/beneficiary, the role of the non-verbal dimension of language at the level of facial expressiveness is approached, with an accent, at the end, of several relevant aspects for the way in which the perception of the message is influenced under the authority of the protection mask.

Evropski propisi koji se tiču poglavlja 28 mogu biti grupisani u tri grupe normi: Jedna grupa uređuje kontrolu proizvoda i usluga namjenjenih potrošačima. Potrošač očekuje da roba koju kupuje, odnosno usluga koju pribavlja ima određeni kvalitet. Kvalitet podrazumjeva korisnost robe i djelotvornost usluge, pogodnost za upotrebu, ispravnost, sigurnost, pouzdanost, odsustvo mana. Druga grupa uređuje obavještavanje potrošača, jer se informacijama potrošač najbolje brani od nepovoljnosti robe ili usluge. Veoma često potrošač nije u mogućnosti da dođe do svih njemu važnih informacija. Treća grupa reguliše ugovor između trgovca i potrošača. Na osnovu ugovora sa trgovcem potrošač pribavlja proizvode i usluge koji su mu neophodni. Njegova specifičnost je u tome što ga zaključuju dvije nejednake strane - trgovac kao jača, a potrošač kao slabija strana. Zaštita potrošača u ugovoru sa trgovcem obuhvata specijalna pravila propisana u korist potrošača koja teže da otklone ovu nejednakost.

The aim of the article is to analyze civil-military relations in Latin America during theCOVID-19 pandemic. The priority is to show the role of the army in sanitary and orderactivities, as well as to examine the impact of the militarization of health policy on thecondition of democracy in the countries of the region. The author formulated two researchhypotheses: 1. the scope and intensity of the use of armed forces in the fight against thepandemic is correlated with the effectiveness of civilian state institutions and the type ofpolitical system; 2. the development of the pandemic in 2020 has significantly contributedto the change in the balance of power between civilian and military institutions, and whatis more, to the deepening of the processes of politization of the armed forces and the militarizationof politics in Latin America. The article consists of four parts. The first examinesthe changes in relations between civilian and military institutions and the role and positionof the armed forces in Latin American countries during the period of democratic transition.In the second, the author reviewed the evolution of civil-military relations in thefirst two decades of the 21st century, revealing new forms of militarism. The third partof the text examines the state of civil-military relations in the 21st century in the context ofthe crisis of democracy and the wave of social protests. In the fourth part, the author analyzedthe ways and scope of using the armed forces in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemicand the effects of the militarization of public policy on Latin American democracies.

Vietnamese-Cambodian relations are characterized by many controversies and problems. Their causes should be seen in deeply entrenched stereotypes and prejudices. The domination of Vietnam over Cambodia at various stages of history has contributed to the rise of anti-Vietnamese resentment among the Cambodian community. The aim of the article is to point out how they impacted on internal situation in Cambodia, and indirectly, on the relations between the governments in Phnom Penh and Hanoi. This paper also takes into account the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on bilateral relations, and shows how common threat has improved or worsened the Hanoi-Phnom Penh relationship.

The COVID-19 pandemic has become a challenge not only for the states themselves, but also for sub-state actors. It was the regions and cities that were on the front lines of the fight against the coronavirus. They had to face not only the challenges of the pandemic, but also the obstacles generated by the indifference and lack of a timely enough response from the central governments in their states. The chapter aims to present and analyze selected examples of the activities of cities and regions during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were specifically selected to include areas from countries with different geographic locations and varied levels of economic development, as well as to show the widest cross-section of their activities and initiatives.

Modern political campaigns become close to those initiated on business marketplace mostly in terms of organizational structure and its key instruments. This article is an attempt to verify appropriate sequence of activities made by election staff and its peerless campaign management in order to gain competitive advantage on political marketplace. Special attention will be put on pandemic COVID-19 period to verify its impact on features of marketing activities. Essential data for reaching the goal has been taken by literature overview and Anglo-Saxon marketplace observation. As the result of this the description has been performed and conclusions for effective campaigning have been drawn. Appropriate sequence of activities, funds, campaign staff organization and relevant management by campaign chief contribute to increase the enchantment and gain the advantage on election race.

This paper examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the situation of women in science. The desk research method was used to analyse global and domestic data on the professional activity of women in higher education institutions. The investigation focuses on four critical areas of academic work: reconciling work and family responsibilities, the problem of research productivity during the pandemic, research collaborations, mentoring and informal networks, mental health and well-being. The results of the study prove the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the career development of female academics. The social crisis it triggered not only perpetuates the gender inequalities that had already existed in academia but also causes long-term adverse implications for the engagement, experience, and retention of female researchers. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the situation of women in academia has become less predictable and more challenging than before its outbreak.

The COVID-19 pandemic has taught us how important it is to have real and true information, and that they are received from the reliable sources. In this particular case, misinformation and spread of fake news endanger our health and raises panic, which further raises danger in multiple ways. This is why it is important to check if a photograph was edited, or if sound was added to a video, and even if the articles spread in mainstream media are modified. The public needs to be protected from the pandemic of false information. Fake news, pseudo-news, alternative facts and news with misinformation are spread through traditional forms of media or social media to create a false narrative about a given topic. Spreading misinformation gives people a distorted view, often on something that they need to decide on. Social media is very convenient place for spreading of false information because of the open nature of their platforms which allows every person to say and share various contents.

The healthcare industry sector is often considered a soft target for malicious actors. Having a large attack surface coupled with a focus directed toward patient care rather than security, often health organizations haven’t taken the necessary precautions to secure patient data or access to medical devices within their infrastructures. As the severity and the associated costs of cyber-attacks on entities within healthcare organizations continue to escalate, an increased effort within this industry to mitigate the risks associated with these vulnerabilities is necessary. This study seeks to present the most common types of healthcare attacks and their mitigation methodologies. Additionally, a discussion of how compliance with the GDPR in the European Union and the HIPPA regulation in the United States can positively affect a healthcare organization’s defensive posture.
