The dynamics of the new digital society creates a number of new challenges facing contemporary security. Today they develop into a complex cyber-physical mixed reality, including information space and objective reality. The article presents a methodological approach to model study of these new threats. We use systematic modeling and analysis based on questionnaires, interviews and expert knowledge. The subsequent probabilistic validation is used for simulation evaluation of identified threats in dynamics. The results were further verified with the active participation of the human factor. The proposed approach creates a good basis for analyzing future security challenges in the digital society.

The report focuses on the necessity of creating a multifunctional web based system for building entrepreneurship which could function as a web application, social network and advertising media. It is assumed that the tertiary sector structure could be regulated by the use of information system which effectively and securely manages the interrelations between seekers and suppliers, seekers and seekers, suppliers and suppliers, suppliers and seekers of a particular service without the interference of the state, international organizations and private companies. The author proves the idea that both production factors: entrepreneurial capabilities and information / technology can change the economic situation in any organization. Three scientific tasks have been proven – reasons for IT innovation within the building entrepreneurship have been defined; empirical research regarding public opinion, requirements and attitudes towards the implementation of a multifunctional web based product for construction and repair has been conducted; the system itself has been designed.

A Behavioral Economics Approach to Digitalisation – The Case of a Principles-based Taxonomy

A growing body of academic research in the field of behavioural economics, political science and psychology demonstrate how an invisible hand can nudge people’s decisions towards a preferred option. Contrary to the assumptions of the neoclassical economics, supporters of nudging argue that people have problems coping with a complex world, because of their limited knowledge and their restricted rationality. Technological improvement in the age of information has increased the possibilities to control the innocent social media users or penalise private investors and reap the benefits of their existence in hidden persuasion and discrimination. Nudging enables nudgers to plunder the simple uneducated and uninformed citizen and investor, who is neither aware of the nudging strategies nor able to oversee the tactics used by the nudgers (Puaschunder 2017a, b; 2018a, b). The nudgers are thereby legally protected by democratically assigned positions they hold. The law of motion of the nudging societies holds an unequal concentration of power of those who have access to compiled data and coding rules, relevant for political power and influencing the investor’s decision usefulness (Puaschunder 2017a, b; 2018a, b). This paper takes as a case the “transparency technology XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language)” (Sunstein 2013, 20), which should make data more accessible as well as usable for private investors. It is part of the choice architecture on regulation by governments (Sunstein 2013). However, XBRL is bounded to a taxonomy (Piechocki and Felden 2007). Considering theoretical literature and field research, a representation issue (Beerbaum, Piechocki and Weber 2017) for principles-based accounting taxonomies exists, which intelligent machines applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) (Mwilu, Prat and Comyn-Wattiau 2015) nudge to facilitate decision usefulness. This paper conceptualizes ethical questions arising from the taxonomy engineering based on machine learning systems: Should the objective of the coding rule be to support or to influence human decision making or rational artificiality? This paper therefore advocates for a democratisation of information, education and transparency about nudges and coding rules (Puaschunder 2017a, b; 2018a, b).

Building residential and road infrastructure are fundamental to every society. In the era of artificial intelligence, we have bigger buildings and fancier houses, so, we do need of better construction companies with qualified employees, who are able to make a high-quality reconstruction and to create innovative and even SMART building objects. The high-tech world is focused on users, who benefit from automatic tools and machines. This report aims to prove the necessity of an intelligent web-based assistant for planning constructive and reconstructive activities. It’s achieved by completion of three tasks. A research for the most common mistakes in construction has been made; good practices have been explored and analyzed; an intelligent web-based assistant was designed. The author considers that the project of the assistant could be adapted to every hardware and software.

Mitigating complexity to enhance sustainability governance of intelligent mobility: A system engineering-based methodological framework

Widely recognized for its ability to ensure sustainability and respond to citizens' needs, future mobility has enabled the development of innovative services and infrastructures, based on intelligent systems to support the different modes of transport. Current trends go beyond investment in infrastructure and the integration of new technologies but reflect new user requirements, regulations and increasingly stringent governance. In this context, the design of such a system, as well as the assessment of its sustainability, requires a holistic approach that considers the complete life cycle of the system and the interdependencies between its components. In the literature, there are several approaches to characterize and design an urban mobility system considering the new requirements of sustainability, as well as reference architectures to guide decision-makers in their design. However, from the perspective of urban managers, these methods and architectures do not always provide a formal framework for managing complexity, coordinating decision-making and considering user needs and sustainability. In this paper, a methodological framework based on system engineering tools has been proposed to help public authorities in designing and deploying new urban projects, considering the entire life cycle of the mobility system. An attempt at implementation through a case study shows the flexibility to manage different types of data to which urban managers did not have access until now, and which make it possible to define effective urban mobility policies. A validation of the methodological framework proposed by simulation will be the main perspective of this work.

Tehnologija je oduvek zaokupljala ljude, bilo iz praktičnih razloga (kako da sebi život učine lakšim), bilo iz radoznalosti (u smislu proširivanja granica ljudskog znanja). Kako tvrde umetnici/kritičari iz kolektiva Critical Art Ensemble, razmišljanja o svrsi i budućnosti tehnologije su se povezivala sa promišljanjima budućnosti ljudskog roda uopšte, i ona se najčešće odvijaju u dva smera: s jedne strane, tehno-utopisti koji smatraju da razvoj nauke i tehnike čovečanstvu može doneti neslućena dobra, blagostanje i lek protiv svih zala, a sa druge, tehno-distopisti, koji smatraju da je tehnologija izvor svih zala, i da se od nje ne može očekivati ništa dobro. Tehno-utopisti pravi procvat doživljavaju sa industrijskom revolucijom, kada vera u provi đenje ustupa mesto veri u kapitalizam. (Božja ruka provi đenja je nešto kasnije amputirana i prišivena kiborgu kapitalizma Adama Smita.) Naravno, sa dolaskom industrijske revolucije, težište se definitivno pomera u korist nauke i tehnologije: mislioci sa levice (Kondorse, Sen-Simon, Marks), kao i sa desnice (Kont, Spenser) su delili optimizam u vezi svetle budućnosti, uprkos različitim pristupima – tako je Sen-Simon predvi đao socijalizam saveta, dok je Spenser očekivao pojavu buržoaskog Natčoveka.

The Impact of Internal Communication in Organizational Management

Modern society represents a set of organizations. Almost all aspects of human existence are regulated, assisted or facilitated by an organization or another. Almost all people are part of the structures and processes of a type of organization, be it family, school, government, church, business or club. According to a simple definition, an organization is the combination and use of human, financial and material resources to achieve objectives. The organization is a social system composed of activities that brings together human and material resources, through which the objective for which it was created is achieved: products, works, services appropriate to social order. The organization is not defined only by its products and/or services, but also by the manager's ability to communicate with employees and the management team. All activities related to the organization are mediated by communication, so communication is a key element in the organizational processes, interfering with their success or failure. Communication is one of the most important organizational activities. Fundamentally, human relations grow out of communication and the functioning and survival of organizations is based on effective relationships between individuals and groups. Moreover, organizational capabilities are adopted and developed through intense social and communication processes. Internal communication, seen as a set of procedures and organized communication exchanges, participates in the construction of numerous definitions of problematic situations underlying the understanding and behavior of employees. Every organization has its moments of glory and decay in functional and communicative terms. It is very easy to go from an effective communication situation to a poor one, given the multitude of factors that can disrupt the flow of information and communication of a group or of an organization. Like any activity that takes place within the organization, communication must have a planned dimension; it cannot be done randomly, but requires a plan, a strategy, rules and procedures. In other words, communication must be institutionalized and incorporated into the strategic plan of the organization. Communication is specific to each organization; each organization has its own communication system based on the profile, size and especially the organizational culture.

An Empirical Research for Identifying and Analyzing the Identity Characteristics of Different Online Destination Websites

The online environment and the other digital media have revolutionized human interaction. This is the network effect that organizations must use to reach their goals, and the destinations management organizations are also included in finding better solutions for promoting, communicating and marketing the desired place. This online presence of billions of people can be used both in organizational communication activities and in other areas, for research or facilitating professional activities. In this light, the research objective is to identify the Internet usage from the managerial point of view, i.e., the destination branding management of websites. The research study will try to specify and analyse the main features of destinations websites or the principal dimensions of their online identity, by applying a content analysis method scheme on 10 selected destination websites. Findings from the study suggest that the Web 1.0 paradigm is still being used or promoted, rather than the participatory Web 2.0, that nowadays is associated with a large range of tools and software used for viewing and developing the websites, allowing the users to interact directly with any web content in order to obtain custom rewards. Changes are taken into consideration by the destinations management organizations in terms of transmitting the information with greater visibility to targeted audiences. The online environment is, therefore, in favour of any organization that wants to be connected to this world of technology and professionalism.

Proposal of a Social Responsibility Indicator Model Based on Systems Dynamics

This document presents the advances in the construction of an indicator model based on the economic, social and environmental dimensions, which serve to measure the performance of manufacturing companies in terms of Social Responsibility (SR). To model the proposed indicator, the methodology of system dynamics using the iThink® software is used. The main reference for this construction is the work carried out by Pavláková Dočekalová and Kocmanová (2016) that proposes the Complex Performance Indicator (CPI). The sectors that make up the model are two: physical flow, which includes production, workers, innovation, marketing and machines; and information flow, which is represented in Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and in the CPI sector that calculates the consolidated indicator of the three groups (environmental, social and economic). The work contributes to the measurement of the performance of companies that engage in SR actions and shows the relationships and causalities between the sectors and indicators mentioned above.

Innovative Development of Agrarian Business and Rural Areas : Third International Scientific Conference IDARA – 2023

The conference proceedings include the papers presented at the third consecutive International Scientific Conference, "Innovative Development of Agrarian Business and Rural Areas", organized by the Department of "Economics of Natural Resources" of the University of National and World Economics on September 28 and 29, 2023. The development of agrarian business in the conditions of the Common Agricultural Policy, the processes of digitization and globalization, climate changes, the COVID-19 pandemic and others posed a number of challenges to agrarian business and rural areas. They led to the need to look for new solutions in the field of policies, business models, the transition to a green economy, bio-economy, circular economy and others. On this basis, a number of problems, discussion questions and strategic opportunities arose for researchers and experts in the agrarian economy and regional development. The topic of the scientific conference aroused wide interest in the scientific community. Requests for participation in the conference were received from 72 authors with 37 abstracts of reports. After checking for originality and 2 anonymous reviews, 30 papers with 64 authors were included and presented in the conference program. A significant part of the authors (34.4%) are researchers and teachers from seven countries in Europe and Asia.In the plenary session and at the meetings sections, were presented reports in several thematic directions: Innovative business models for the development of agrarian business and rural areas; European and national policies for innovative development of agriculture and rural areas; Digitization, diversification and sustainable growth in rural areas; Bioeconomy, green architecture and business; Innovative approaches to agricultural and rural management.
