Two classes of curves of (n+1)-th degree (n E N) e are obtained in the plane of a given triangle in connection with the generalization of a problem on locus determination. What are described are the common points of those curves and two regular polygons determined by the points of intersection of the curves and the circumcircle of the triangle.

The development of electronic tests and exercises is part of the didactic test theory. Tests can be successfully applied across all disciplines to determine the entry level, to verify and control the learning contents, and to report outcomes at the end of the training period.The “Hot Potatoes” program offers the opportunity to use several didactic models: JQuiz – JakeCuiz, JCloze – JackClose, CrossJackros, JMix – JayMix, JMatch – JeMech. The use of the program is fully in line with the contemporary understanding of didactic tests for learning purposes. The logical arrangement of the exercises is in compliance with the curriculum and based on the chronological principle. The electronic exercises of the “Hot Potatoes” program are used for revision exercises, homework assignments, error correction, performance comparison and more.

As a result of the developments in the fields of technology, communication and transportation, the world is becoming more and more diverse. Consequently, it is natural that in almost every society, the profile of the library user from different cultures is also importaant. Libraries, having indisputable signiuficance in the educational and cultural development of individuals, are those institutions that make all the effort to provide equal opportunities for their members.In this study, the importance of linguistic and cultural diversity from the perspective of library services has been briefly examined. Some reflections on the language policies during the reign of Abdulhamid II on publication and library life are presented. The language structure of the Yıldız Palace Library Collection, which belongs to the period of Abdülhamid II and is still in the Rare Books Library of Istanbul University is briefly evaluated.

The Role of Computer Animation in Mathematics Teaching

The article is devoted to the role, importance, and use of animated drawings created on computer screens in GeoGebra platform for Mathematics teaching at schools and Universities. The use of this platform introduces a new kind of visibility in Mathematics learning, which entails not only an increased interest to the subject, but also promotes understanding and stronger perception of abstract material. In addition, an opportunity appears to remove computing difficulties, since the calculations are done by the computer. The user becomes a manager of computing and this saves time, but also allows acquiring new competence in useful digital technologies in education. Animated graphics help to realize experiments, to notice new patterns, to suggest solutions of mathematical problems and to illustrate them successfully. All that is of great importance for the formation of the new generation, called upon the development of the Russian digital economy.

The basic idea for software-defined networks (SDN) is the separation of systems that control the network from systems the data plane. This defines a layer of program control and control of the whole network (control layer). The SDN controller manages the entire network, receives instructions and instructions from the application layer and relays them to the network components. The controller retrieves network infrastructure information – a infrastructure layer – and returns it back to the application layer. In this article we will present the basic architecture and features of the Floodlight controller. We test different topologies of the Mininet network simulator, interaction between virtual machines, adding and intercepting OpenFlow flows from the Wireshark network analyzer.

The paper presents the main results of the work of an international group of students in the frames of the research project “Geometry Scrabble in Cloud”. The study consisted in creating and solving problems that were generalizations and natural analogues of a starting problem. It applied analytical geometry methods and was software supported by GeoGebra, Geometer’s Sketchpad and Maple. As a result various problems were created leading to loci like Euler line, curves of second degree and also curves of higher order.

The paper is dedicted to the problems of the mathematical education in German taking place in the Technical University, Sofia. It focuses on the homework as an integral part of the learning process. The need of considering the suggested problematics is justified: the lesrner should be able to use literaure in German, to express him/herself correctly in writing and orally, and should be capable in transfering mathematical knowledge; at the same time the tasks which the instructor faces are connected with the solution of linguistic, methodological and procedural problems appearing in the mathematical education in German.

In Włocławek, as in other towns of the Polish Kingdom, there were formed organizations whose one aspect of the action was to build national identity through the book and the press. This could be trade unions, voluntary organizations, social organizations, cooperatives and business associations. In their premises or specially designed for these purposes premises created libraries closed only to their members, or open – social. In the nineteenth and early twentieth century in the capital of East Kujawy worked: charitable societies, educational organizations, an association of mutual assistance, cultural organizations, associations of libraries, volunteer company for fire-fighting, food associations, credit societies and sports-touristic and other social organizations. Unfortunately, only some of them have made the creation of a public library. There were 94 organizations, but only 22 had libraries and two reading rooms.

Charakterystyka i opracowanie zbioru archiwalnych negatywów w Bibliotece Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Gdańsku

The purpose of the article is to present a method of the treatment of the collection of archive negatives of the State Institution of Higher Education of Visual Arts in Gdańsk by the library of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. The article discusses the author’s own experience in the work on the photographical material and the relevant problems which were experienced by the library staff. One applied an experimental method in research. The experiences which were collected and described in the article may serve the task of the development of one’s own methods and may prompt librarians to engage in the treatment of photographical collections in their libraries. The process of the digitalisation of photographs sparked a great interest of the users of the library. When one initiates the scanning of materials, one may encounter logistic problems (e.g. the setting up of a workroom), financial problems (e.g. the purchase of a scanner and the relevant materials), also the methodology itself may become an obstacle. It is necessary to make a comprehensive inventory of photographs so that eventually they may be rendered accessible to the users of a reading room. This will contribute to the enhancement of the familiarisation with the history of the University and its influence upon the development of art in the region, and it may also influence the enhancement of the prestige of the scholarly institution. The treatment of a photograph is an interesting and also a difficult task, which requires a great deal of humility, dedication and patience on the part of the researcher.

The four backbones are: Chaos-theory, Fuzzy logic, Neural networks and Genetic algorithms. Although each method itself is a powerful analytic tool, the present paper suggests to combine them to a hybrid analytic and analysis tool, where all methods interact and result in promising outcomes.

Arose in the late sixties of the twentieth century, affirmed through the eighties and especially booming in its last decade, object-oriented programming has established itself as a leading style of programming at the beginning of the new century. While this style of programming has almost no alternative in the mass production of software, its imposition in secondary school educational practice is delayed. The article analyses the reasons for the slow uptake of object-oriented programming in secondary school and presents an approach to change the style of teaching Programming. The approach is illustrated through a suggested solution of an entrance exam task in Informatics at the University of Plovdiv using C#.
