Summary/Abstract: The visits of King Carol I to Constanța can be the subject of several research topics. We can see how their protocol has evolved over time, or we can notice the differences from visits to other cities in the country at the same time. At the same time, however, we can seek to understand how the king saw the city of Constanta and especially its future, but also the way the inhabitants of the city looked at the king who had chosen to stay in their midst longer than elsewhere. The press of the time, of course with the limits of political subjectivism, has often dealt extensively with these events, which gives us now the opportunity to analyze in great detail the royal visits of the time.
