Summary/Abstract: In 1919 the inhabitants of Dobruja returned to their homes and tried to resume their normal life. But the conditions were difficult. The allied armies of France and Great Britain were in Dobruja, and the Romanian administration hardly returned to its duties. Its first concern was to provide the population with the necessary food and firewood, but also to apply hygiene measures to avoid the epidemics that usually occur after wars. However, the residents mobilize and manage to restore their homes, repair the destroyed schools, and the economic activities begin to return to normal. There are also the first post-war elections, so the country is back on its natural path.
