Summary/Abstract: Together with other Romanian, the soldiers from city of Barlad attended the great battles of the Romanian fronts during the First World War. Many of them sacrificed for completion of the Land and wrote with their blood the true heroism pages. A great number of military troops who were stationed in the garrison Barlad showed great bravery on the battlefield. We mention the Regiments 12 Infantry „D. Cantemir" and 52 Infantry, Regiments 2 and 3 Roşiori Cavalry, Regiment Artillery 23 and Regiment Calarasi 10. Among the most important heroes from Barlad of the First World War were: col. George Naumescu - hero ofthe attack from Prunaru (1916), captain Grigore Ignat - the martyr of the battle of Mărăşeşti (19J7) and corporal grenadier Constantin Musat-dead in the battle of Oituz (1917).
