Summary/Abstract: The show can take various forms given the diversity of expressions of human emotion. Documentary film is an expression exploited by the Francophone writer of Algerian origin, Assia Djebar. Her cinematographic work covers two productions: La Nouba des femmes du mont Chenoua (1978) and La Zerda ou les Chants de l’oubli (1982). The two feature films share a common perspective on Algeria's colonial past, the reconstruction of the national liberation war scenes and the Algerians everyday life. In this paper, analysis and observations focus on the film, La Nouba des femmes du mont Chenoua, in relation to the djebarian novel La femme sans sépulture in which Assia retakes the story of the forgotten heroine of the war, Zoulikha. Through its story, Assia retakes the history of the entire community and it highlights the image of family life. The camera stops on the couple of Lila and her husband immobilized in a wheelchair. All elements used in the production of the feature film La Nouba des femmes du mont Chenoua help to create a complex image of life on the algerian territory.
