The study deals with this important item of the material culture. Besides the cloth and the technique used for assembling the various elements that compose it, the Romanian blouse is to be presented as a meaningful museum piece that helps „to weave” the tradition of a village or of an entire region. Moreover, the traditional ía assures the continuity of a genuine creative style and the Romanian woman’s identity in an innovative world of fashion.
