Together with the Greek communities in the diaspora and the philohellenic people around the world, is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the beginning of the movement that ultimately led to the proclamation of the independence of the Greek state. The bicentennial was greeted by the organization of numerous cultural and scientific events both in the country and abroad.The author, Tudor Dinu, professor of neo-Greek literature and civilization at the University of Bucharest, is well known both in Romania and in Greece for the interest given to the material dimension of daily life in the 18th-19th centuries in the Romanian Principalities.
