Summary/Abstract: The National History Museum of Romania holds a substantial group of volumes published in Greek between the end of the 18th and the first half of the 19th century. I am now taking over this collection and simultaneously starting to research it. The present article brings together some of the results I have arrived at so far, which are subject to recontextualisation and updating as the research progresses. On the one hand, I map, based on the archives preserved in the museum, the circulation of the collection over a period of about half a century prior to it becoming part of the institution’s collection. On the other, I analyze a group of books published by the Greek-speaking scholar Dimitrios Darvaris, which I relate to his professional activities.
