Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of an empirical study of the right of choice of children in the Republic of Bulgaria. The study was conducted through focus groups and individual semi-structured interviews with children, members of the Children's Council to the Chairman of the State Agency for Child Protection. The main aspects of the impact of the factors that influence the choices and decisions that children make are outlined – the family, school, out-of-school and online environment and their friend circle.
