Summary/Abstract: The current article reviews the trilogy dedicated by Ioan Munteanu to the history of the city of Brăila through its streets, squares and neighbourhoods. The eyes of historian Ion Munteanu admire the streets not only from an aesthetic point of view, but also from their poten tial to reveal the old stories and the glow that gave the city its fame and uniqueness.
