Summary/Abstract: This article attempts to present separate equivalents of the term "interview", ie. oral and written texts in the form of questions and answers, and the definition of the term "communicative competence" on the basis of the parameters set in the European Language Framework. In this context, the importance of the media genre interview as a didactic tool suitable for different target groups and language levels, as a means of good preparation and a model for their own language production in German language teaching will be considered.
