EXAMINATION OF NURI BILGE CEYLAN'S SELECTION OF SPACE AND FURNITURE IN THE MOVIE BOOST

Summary/Abstract: The phenomenon of culture and urbanization has remarkable features such as literature, painting, theater and cinema. With industrialization, not only the way of production has changed, but also the place of life and way of life has begun to change. While the traditional evolves into the modern, it leaves sadness behind from time to time. With the urbanization, the ruptures in the family structure and the efforts to return to the beginning by emulating the past formed the basis of the ironic stories of the transition period in the social structure. Nuri Bilge Ceylan is a director who has made his mark on world cinema as an auteur with his scenes of town life, modest, accessible, understated, emotional and repetitively displayed in his films. In the short film "Koza", the efforts to resurrect family life were tried to be explained by emphasizing traditional relationships and emotions on the small settlement. Intimacy and experimental work were emphasized by giving roles to family members in the cast. In this study, Nuri Bilge Ceylan's cinema and his short film Koza will examine the power of the choice of space and furnishing elements in the creation and determination of the cinematographic structure of the film, from the perspective of the field of architecture, and it will be emphasized that the choice of space is the success of the director as much as the scenario. It should be noted that bringing nature to the forefront in Nuri Bilge Ceylan's films is a feature.
