Summary/Abstract: In the current context, the protection of the forest acquires a special importance, and in order to preserve the integrity ofthe forest fund, certain sanctions are imposed, going as far as criminalizing acts that harm it. One of the offences provided for in the main regulation regarding the protection of the national forest fund is also the one subject to this analysis, namely the offence of reducing the area of the national forest fund.
