Summary/Abstract: Achieving some of the most important goals of the evolution and development of training and education systems, transferability and professional mobility, can only be achieved by applying the system of transferable professional credits and at the level of the initial and continuous training system of teachers. This continuous process is not an end in itself but is a prerequisite for accomplishing an essential mission, training and developing a teaching career. From this point of view, the dimensions of the teaching career aimed at the initial and continuous training of teachers in the Romanian education system are: professionalization, the affective-motivational dimension; the socio-relational dimension. The rupture between the initial and the continuous formation represents a big problem that can be solved by a modern and flexible solution - the system of transferable credits of studies.
