Summary/Abstract: Transylvanian glass painting is more than images that beautified houses or places of worship. Icons are true confessions and stories based on traditions handed down from generation to generation and pillars of people's community and mentality. Jesus Christ, the Mother of God, and the saints represented in these icons were also spiritual patrons of nature, people's lives and households. Through parables or stories heard during church services or in books with a moralizing role that circulated in Transylvania, the miracles performed by the saints during their lives will be transposed into the glass icons whose main themes represented by the saint himself are complemented by aspects of life and their miracles, hence their role as protectors in various situations.
