Ancient Traces Of Our Ethnoculture - The new house in folk mentalities and beliefs

Summary/Abstract: The present work tries to examine some characteristic moments connected with very important mentalities regarding the new house, the phases of its construction, beginning from the choice and determination of the soil wher it woud be set up, and arriving up to the entrance of the family for the first time. The material is colected on the ground by persons of different ages, professions and sexes for a period of about 30 years, in many regions of Kosovë, but even in Albanian villages of Macedonia. Dasing on a large material, the author has arrived at the conclusion that they, on one hand, are natural part of all the traditional culture of the Albanian people which inhabites in its own ancestral lands. Enriching the variety of this culture, they at the same time forward echoes of early ethnocultural roots and don’t constitute an oasis, considered in larger areals.
