Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with an important issue of broader field of cultural anthropology, or ethnology, respectively extensive problems of human nutrition (food) in general. There are discussed some viewpoints and theories in various countries of the world, about various problems of nutrition, and on the other hand there are considered and discussed the known or unknown issues (problems) about food in Albanian culture. There are discussed problems of everyday food, of ritual food, of taboo food, phenomena of food changes, food of nowadays and traditional food etc. In parallel with foods there are discussed problems which are closely linked with the nutrition phenomenon, as for instance, components of food, names and terminology of various foods, classification of food, then problems of food dishes, the problem of assignment of works to do within food problems (issues). It is said in the Conclusion of the paper that in the aspect of food phenomenon, Albanian culture is commensurate with other cultures and it is part of human worldwide food culture in general. Albanian food corresponds with nutrition components, food structure, care for food, food and culinary culture, ancientness and symbolism, cults and mythology, but it also communicates for changes, for cultural discourses, for globalisations and modernism.
