An overview of the use of GPS technology and sensors in a transport business managing

Summary/Abstract: This abstract describes the goal, methodology, and the technologies that will be used in a doctoral thesis. The study uses modern technologies in the design of a management system in a transportation business as it relates to the vehicles’ transportation activity. The objective of the study is the design of an Information System about the use of vehicles, their control, planning, and the increase of transportation efficiency. This system becomes a reality due to the existing GPS System, its relation with sensors placed inside the vehicle, and the use of this information with modern programming technologies.
