Summary/Abstract: The article considers the peculiarities of the process of verb prefixation in the teaching of foreign students the basics of grammar (Slavic languages). Common for Bulgarian, Ukrainian and Russian main semantic groups of verb prefixes, their variability and productivity are identified, in particular, on the basis of the created manual for studying the language by foreigners.
