Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the results of translator’s individual decisions regarding transfer of significant proper names from Boris Akunin’ novels into their Polish variants. The ecological perspective makes it possible to interpret multi-level subsequent relations of language units within the framework of ecosystems in both the source and the target language.
