Summary/Abstract: The article reviews the characteristic features of terminological nomination in computer terminology that the common user in Bulgarian and Russian languages uses. The emergence of new concepts requires the search for the best means of expressing them. The issues, which are associated with the origin and the peculiarities of the formation of this system of terms, arouse particular interest. The article aims at describing the ways of term formation and terminological nomination regarding the sources and ways of formation in both languages. The conclusion is made that semantic derivation is the most productive way of terminological nomination in the field of computer technologies.
