Electronic freight exchange in logistics sector

Summary/Abstract: The logistics sector is a wide set, which consists of enterprises offering services in the field of transport, packaging, assembling, and storing things. These include: transport, freight, courier and postal companies. The development of information technology has contributed to the emergence of new types of services and business activities. One of such forms is the electronic logistics platform, in particular the freight exchange market, which is a middleman between the supply and the demand side of the market of logistics services. The purpose of this article is to present the essence and importance of electronic freight exchanges in Poland.
