The place and role of the CEP industry in Polish economy

Summary/Abstract: The CEP industry is one of the key components of the logistic sector. It is seen as a barometer of the economy, because every economic revival causes an increase in the demand for express freight services. Some also define it as an engine of economic development which generates a significant share in the Polish GDP. It is certainly an indispensable part of modern economies, especially the rapidly growing e-commerce in Poland. Without freight and courier express services, many companies could not pursue such a popular strategy, which is the outsourcing of logistics.
