Vertical and horizontal business networks in economy

Summary/Abstract: Business networks have been a subject of study for many researchers and practitioners for a lot of years. Literature distinguishes a lot of different types of business networks. The main classification is the division of networks according to the nature of the relationship between the participants. These are vertical and horizontal networks. Logisticians are mainly preoccupied with the former ones, while the latter is an area of interest for marketing specialists. However, there is no comprehensive look at these two types of networks.
