Summary/Abstract: This article raises the issues and threats posed by the proliferation of personal data on human rights and their protection in the Georgian legal order. The author analyzes Georgia’s new Personal Data Protection Act of 2023, which was adopted with the aim of bringing the country into line with European legislation in this area. In particular, is examined the way in which personal data protection is ensured, the responses that can be provided in the event of violations being detected, and the progress that can be made in terms of transparency.
