Summary/Abstract: The problems of adaptation and social realization of the Roma groups in Bulgaria cannot be represented solely as integration into the Bulgarian society. Integration is a bilateral process. Actually, the processes of disintegration in the Bulgarian society involve to the same extent both the different social and ethno-cultural groups and communities living together. This means that the extent to which the Bulgarian society manage to achieve a certain level of social and internal cohesion or simply solidarity can not depend only on the efforts of one group or another. The Roma groups achieve such a level of integration that corresponds to the extent to which the Bulgarian communities desire it.
