Selected aspects of social tourism development in the Czech Republic

Summary/Abstract: Social tourism, as the peculiar phenomenon influencing global tourism development, became the focus of interest of numerous entities functioning on the tourism market. The objective of the paper is to assess Czech tourist enterprises providing services for tourists included in the social tourism sector. The paper also discusses activities undertaken by the Ministry of Regional Development in the Czech Republic aimed at supporting the supply part of social tourism market. Questionnaire surveys were conducted for the needs of the hereby paper among Czech tourist enterprises. Their results allowed for conclusions confirming the efficiency of state administration in supporting this form of tourism development.
