Efficiency of the European Social Fund expenditure on the human resources development

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present the expenditure results of the key instrument of social policy of the European Union – European Social Fund which supports the human resource development, regular training in particular. The starting point of the paper is the presentation of the terminology connected with the word efficiency. Later the attention is focused on the characteristics of objectives and the areas of intervention within European Social Fund with special attention paid to the human capital development. Last part of the paper presents current effects and the results of the financial policy of European Social Fund.
