Human Capital Operational Program as a tool of cohesion policy in the social dimension in the perspective of 2007–2013 in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The subject of this article is Human Capital Operational Program in Poland in the perspective of 2007–2013 as a tool of cohesion policy and the main purpose is to determine the results of this policy in social dimension. A starting point is the presentation of cohesion policy definition and the objectives if this policy, determined for the perspective 2007–2013 in the European Union. In the following part of the article the Human Capital Operational Program has been described. Then the results of cohesion policy in the social dimension in Poland have been presented, focusing attention on lowering the unemployment rate in Poland and increasing the employment as the main indicators of cohesion policy measurement.
