Summary/Abstract: The Dialect of Bansko is a part of the transitional isovocal area, combining both eastern and western Bulgarian linguistic features. Such a geographical location provokes the development of various dialectal processes in the region of Bansko. These interesting common phenomena and processes that flow in the vernacular of Bansko, raise the attention of many foreign and Bulgarian linguists. In 1822 the Serbian linguist Vuk Karadjich published for the the first time examples in bulgarian from the region of Bansko. About this interesting dialect wrote also famous scientists as N. Aleksiev. D. Molerov and K. Molerov, K. Mirchev, R. Bernard, St. Stoikov, l.Kochev, etc. Many of the most specific features of Bansko's dialect are introduced in there scientific publications, formed as a result of different linguistic influences and interaction. Critical review and analysis, published earlier, are presented in this research work. Each scientific research is examined in details and the scientific merits and contributions are shown as well as the inexactnesses.
