Summary/Abstract: The constant need for mathematical structures fitting problems appearing in various area: searching the laws which govern physical or economical phenomena according to a statistical model obtained by sampling, phase portraying of trajectories corresponding to iterated procedures – they all have in common the demand for discretization methods continued with the study of the asymptotical behaviour of the discrete approximation. Taking advantage of immersive technologies: Java applets, an adventure game and a combination of 3ds and Flash animations, along with some numerical simulations, the paper presents the first part of a Moodle complementary course in mathematical modelling.
