Summary/Abstract: Developing our previous research in the field, the present paper approaches the evolution of IT and terminology software. It explores the concepts of virtualization and cloud-based computing and its influence in the virtualization of terminology and development of cloud-based terminology management tools. The goal of our paper is to provide actualized information about the existing cloud-based terminology tools and about similar ongoing projects for experts, professors and students.
