Summary/Abstract: The aim of the current article is to present and evaluate the state of art of the project AutoDidact, developed by the “Babeş-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca. The main objective of the project is to adapt language learning in Romania to the new European language policies. It represents a new trend in Romanian language learning that combines technologies from IT and multimodal learning materials and offers students the opportunity to study in a different, challenging, and multicultural environment.
