Summary/Abstract: Saint Gregory of Nazianzus (329/330-389/390) had an important role in the making of Christian dogma and is thus remembered by the Church as “the Theologian”. This article emphasizes how Saint Gregory the Theologian sees the ratio between the Divine Grace and the human soul in the context of bringing man to life from inanimate substance. One has to notice that there needs to be a harmonic collaboration between the soul, the body, and the Divine Grace in order to achieve the conversion of man from image to likeness.
