Summary/Abstract: The functioning of the modern community is subjected to multiple legal regulations. These regulations are created with the intention of clarifying the relationship both social and between man and the environment. The latter interaction is particularly important in building a strategy to ensure the safety of flooding. The views and activities related to flooding have significantly changed. Today, it is moving away from flood measures towards flood management. Systems providing security are based on non-technical security, adjusting economic activities to the environmental conditions. The primary objective of these projects is to leave free space to the rivers where flooding does not cause severe losses. Of course, these areas are not excluded from the use, but only limited to forms resistant to periodic flooding. One such of these activities is the production of agricultural resistant to flooding. The paper presents research in the San valley, conducted among farmers whose holdings are periodically flooded. The aim of the study was to determine the awareness of the benefits arising from floods, to determine the level of production to adapt to the natural functioning of rivers and the determination of the people in riverine areas with actions to ensure safety. An answer to the questions allowed the identification of the human-environment interaction in floodplains and an indication of its formations possibility.
