Principles of excellence in the space management in municipalities

Summary/Abstract: Principles of PN-EN ISO 9001 used in managing the organization systematise progress in achieving set goals, especially in customer satisfaction. According to the findings in this work, this model can also be used in environmental management at the local level, especially when it concerns shaping the space in flood plains. As evidenced by Polish and other countries’ experience, leaving space rivers appears to be a fundamental premise in the development of space-oriented reduction of flood losses and improvement in the quality of life of local communities.
