Summary/Abstract: Despite numerous studies on the Bulgarian literary language from the times before the Bulgarian renascence there still exist manuscripts that have not yet been analyzed pro- perly, viz. samples of Paulician literature from the end of the 18th century. In addition to being a valuable source for Bulgarian historical grammar and dialectology they reflect the typical trend of the period towards democratization of the Bulgarian literary language. In previous research examples of the literary language on a vernacular base (KENO) (Demina 1971:121) were only taken from the Damaskini. The aim of my research is to enlarge the corpus of texts assumed to represent KENO and to include in it the Paulician literature from the second half of the 18th century.
