Summary/Abstract: Investment attractiveness is one of the most important factors affecting the level of development and competitiveness of various areas on national and international scale. Therefore; the aim of this article is to analyze the factors of the investment attractiveness of Wroclaw based on empirical studies of domestic and foreign investors. Conducting first such comprehensive studies made it possible to identify the critical factors of the investment attractiveness of Wroclaw. The most important of these factors recognized by the investors were: (I) potential and quality of labour force: engineers and specialists; (II) knowledge of foreign languages by residents/staff; (III) the level of public safety; (IV) potential and quality of labour resources: managers and (V) labor costs: engineers and specialists. In contrast; the following factors were identified as relatively the least important: (I) local market size and absorption capacity; (II) vicinity of main target markets and (III) cooperative business relations.
