Therefore, the aim of this article is to assess the current strategies to attract foreign investors and promote the development of Polish companies operating in the Wrocław Agglomeration, as well as to identify future directions. Empirical studies conducted in the years 2014--2015 allowed to confront the importance attributed to factors of investment attractiveness of the surveyed investors with their satisfaction from the current state of individual factors. Although spectacular efforts of the last decade, aimed at promoting home business and attracting foreign investors should be evaluated very highly, it is worth keeping in mind, however, some restrictions of the implemented concept of development of Wrocław Agglomeration. The studies indicate that in 7 out of the 8 most important factors that are the foundations of the investment attractiveness of the Wroclaw Agglomeration, the importance of the location factors is not confirmed by the satisfaction of its current state.
