Summary/Abstract: The objective of the article is to identify the agglomerations of tourism entities and to recognize the impact of determining the development of these agglomerations’ potential. The study results from the analysis of reference sources and their empirical verification by applying the LQ location index and D. Strahl’s synthetic measure. In new conditions the traditional location factors lose significance for the benefit of the new ones, such as e.g.: market absorption, social capital and the scope of cooperation, well qualified and presenting different profiles human resources or favourable financial conditions. The identification of tourism entities agglomerations does not represent an easy or unequivocal task and, therefore, quantitative and qualitative methods are applied. The conducted research shows that as few as two regions in Poland, i.e. Warmińsko-Mazurskie and Lower Silesian voivodeships implement new location factors for the development of tourism entities agglomerations.
