On the History of Some Names of Parts of the Human Body

Summary/Abstract: The study follows up more unusual, rare and poorly researched meaning of certain names of parts of the human body in the history of the Bulgarian Language which have a function of their own as components of complex words and in combinations of words, figurative uses, etc. The goal of the paper is to provide new data from the Bulgarian historical lexicography, also making comparisons with certain aspects of the contemporary state of the language.
