Summary/Abstract: The article presents a reconstruction of supply of performances intended for and presented to mass consumption in Kaunas, Lithuania, in 1930. Dwelling on archival material, the article aims to address the questions: what artists shaped the popular tastes of Lithuanian audiences, which forms of entertainment were particularly popular, whether Lithuania belonged to the periphery of European map in terms of accessibility to the products and forms of popular culture of the time.
